Hollyoaks star Ruby O'Donnell hints at downfall for stalker Timmy Simons.

Hollyoaks star Ruby O'Donnell has hinted that stalker Timmy Simons could soon get his comeuppance.

Ruby's character Peri Lomax was left terrified in Monday's E4 first look episode (October 11) as she realised that Timmy had become obsessed with her.

Peri ordered Timmy (Sam Tutty) to leave the Lomax flat after discovering what he'd been up to, but he locked the front door and refused to go anywhere.

In Tuesday's E4 first look episode, Peri remains in danger but help is on the way as her ex-girlfriend Juliet Nightingale (Niamh Blackshaw) comes to the rescue. Will they be able to outsmart Timmy?

Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy about the drama to come, Ruby explained: "I think Timmy has definitely underestimated Juliet. She is very feisty and she really loves Peri. Despite everything that Peri has put her through, she does come to Peri's rescue.

"When Juliet does arrive, Peri is fully aware that everything Juliet has been saying is correct. At that point, Juliet's main concern is getting rid of Timmy and making sure that Peri is safe.

"He definitely underestimates Peri and Juliet together. Timmy should definitely be scared!"

Peri's discovery comes after she previously refused to believe Juliet's claims about Timmy, which left some fans of the Peri/Juliet pairing frustrated.

Addressing the online reaction to the couple's rows, Ruby admitted: "I knew it was going to come when I read the episodes, because the audience have been fully aware of what's going on and that Juliet is hitting the nail on the head every time.

"I prepared myself for a bit of Peri slander, because she has been super naïve and has been a child, really. She's in love with Juliet but she chose to believe a complete stranger over her for no reason.

"Mainly people are frustrated with Peri as they've seen what's going on, but Peri is missing all of the signs. It's frustration from the fans because they don't want 'Jeri' to split up.

"I really hope they can work things out if they make it out of this situation. But obviously it's the biggest thing that's ever happened to their relationship. Relationships are completely built on trust and it's very obvious that Peri has no trust in Juliet.

"Peri has not believed a single word that Juliet has said. It'd now be up to Juliet to trust Peri again. Peri would be scared that she's ruined it, because everything Juliet said was true. I hope they could fix it but I think it would be a hard thing to come back from."

Ruby also spoke about the challenges of exploring the stalker plot.

She said: "When I first found out about this storyline, I was a bit hesitant because I didn't realise what the severity of it would be. With everything going on in the media right now, it's quite scary out in the world. But I thought it was a very good storyline to raise awareness.

"I was excited because I knew it was going to be with Sam and Niamh. It's been really good.

"When I first found out Timmy would be Peri's stalker, I was quite nervous to find out who was going to play him. I was like: 'Oh God, what if we don't get along in real life? This could be quite awkward'.

"But when I first met Sam, we got on like a house on fire. He's so supportive and amazing. If we've ever had any issues on set, he's been super comforting. I absolutely love Sam and it's just crazy how different he is to his character. I'm really blessed that he got the role of Timmy. He's really brought the character and storyline to life."

Hollyoaks airs new episodes from Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, with first-look screenings at 7pm on E4.
