Neighbours spoilers: Kyle and Roxy’s devastating cancer shock

 

After having supported Hendrix through his cancer scare, Kyle (Chris Milligan) is now facing his own. Only, his is a lot more real in Neighbours.

More real in that his isn’t just a scare, and his and Roxy’s (Zima Anderson) world is about to come crashing down around them when they come face to face with their new reality.

As Kyle returns from his mysterious trip to Frankston, Toadie (Ryan Moloney), ever the doting friend and totally in the dark plies him with questions about his impromptu holiday. But he notices immediately that something is off as Kyle turns cagey. He won’t give straight answers, Roxy is in tears, Toadie doesn’t need to be Sherlock to work out something is going on here.

Of course he puts two and two together and comes up with five.

Worried for his friend but knowing he won’t get anything out of him without some tough love, Toadie confronts Kyle with what he thinks is going on, but he’s floored when Kyle tells him the truth.

Kyle has been carrying a huge burden – it’s cancer. He has been keeping it to himself until he knows exactly what it is, what it means, and what the next steps are – he knows his gran won’t take the news well and so he needs to have all of the facts first. But Roxy is struggling under the weight of the truth, she knows Kyle needs more support than just her so she begs him to come clean to his loved ones.

Will Kyle listen to her pleas, or will he continue to suffer in silence?
