Coronation Street teases shock car crash and arrest in Imran storyline
Will Toyah and Imran survive?
Toyah Battersby and Imran Habeeb's lives hang in the balance during Coronation Street's special week.
ITV has announced that Britain's Got Talent's live semi-finals will see Coronation Street moving back to 7.30pm for a special week beginning Monday, May 30 where Imran finally faces his comeuppance.
New photos offer the first look at a dramatic crash stunt for Imran and Toyah as their feud with Abi Franklin reaches a boiling point over the custody of baby Alfie.
Much like Emmerdale's recent special week, Monday's episode will begin with a flashforward of Imran leaving Toyah a confessional message where he admits all of his recent dirty deeds.
The shifting timelines will lead up to Imran and Toyah's nasty wreck, with first-look photos showing Imran desperately trying to pull an unconscious Toyah from the car.
The fallout from the crash will involve Abi and Kevin Webster under suspicion from police, but were they actually involved in setting up the wreck?
Viewers know that Charlie De Melo will be leaving Coronation Street imminently so the stakes could not be higher for these dramatic episodes.
The custody battle between Abi and Imran has reached a boiling point ever since Imran paid Ben to lie in court over claims he'd seen Abi buying drugs.
While Abi later appeared to gain the upper hand by filming Ben buying drugs himself, he refused to cooperate once Imran offered him a full-time job for his silence. Abi is now determined to have her revenge at any cost.
For this special week, Coronation Street will be airing half-hour episodes from 7.30pm every night from Monday to Friday, as Emmerdale temporarily moves back to 7pm to accommodate the live semi-finals of BGT.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
