Coronation Street's Max left devastated and 9 more big soap moments airing this week

1. Coronation Street: Max gets catfished


As Max gets ready for his big date, he receives a text from Sonya, asking if he'll send her over an intimate snap so she can see what to expect. Although shocked, David's son sends over a naked selfie, but is horrified when over dinner, confused Sonya reveals she didn't receive or send any message.

The teens quickly realise they've been set up, and things go from bad to worse when Max's phone pings with a message demanding £1,000 or his revealing image will go viral.

Returning home, Max lets David know what's happening, but his dad insists the blackmailers won't be getting a penny.

Forced to front it out, Max heads off to school the following day, and it's not long before an encounter at the bus stop reveals the identity of his tormentors.

2. Emmerdale: Chas and Al share a forbidden kiss


Struggling to deal with the news of Faith's terminal cancer, heartbroken Chas is dealt a further blow when her mum reveals she doesn't want to carry on with her chemotherapy.

Cain isn't coping well either, and angrily lashes out at Liam after learning that he knew about Faith's illness.

For her daughter's sake, Faith agrees to continue her treatment, but Chas is wracked with guilt when Cain points out it's not her decision to make.

With Chas struggling, Paddy feels useless as he finds himself unable to help his wife, leading Chas to find comfort from a very unlikely source – Al.

The pair open up about their respective family woes, and Al suggests to Chas that it's time she was honest with Faith so they can face the sad reality of her illness.

Taking his advice on board, Chas apologises to her mum and they share a warm embrace. But when Paddy brings home a handful of hospice flyers, he's met with anger from his other half, who finds herself turning back to Al.

Agreeing to forget the past, Chas and Al bond over a bottle of wine as they share stories of Faith. As sparks fly, it's clear their former attraction is resurfacing. Getting up to leave, a tipsy Chas stumbles into Al, leading them share a passionate kiss.

3. EastEnders: Zack pops the question


Feeling wretched for doing the dirty on Nancy with Sam, Zack's regret grows when a courier delivers a touching gift for his girlfriend. After managing to sneak Sam out of the house, guilty Zack confesses to Martin, who urges him to come clean.

When Nancy apologises for her behaviour, Zack can't bring himself to admit what he did, and is relieved when Sam agrees to keep schtum.

Secrets don't stay hidden in Walford for long though, and as the Carters gather at The Albert to celebrate a plaque Kathy has put up in memory of Tina, Nancy discovers Zack's betrayal.

Disgusted, Nancy calls time on their relationship. After receiving a punch in the face from Shirley, Zack has to face the wrath of Sharon and Mick.

Despite all that, Zack is desperate to win Nancy back, and stuns his ex by asking if she'll marry him. Will she forgive his indiscretion and agree to be his wife?

4. Hollyoaks: Wendy's dead!


The war for Bobby is growing increasingly dangerous as Mercedes manages to save her son from being kidnapped by Wendy. Disturbed by Sally's mention of Silas, Mercy confronts her rival, but is tricked when Wendy turns on the waterworks and begs to see Bobby one last time.

Viewers can see a stranger spying on the two women and it soon becomes clear that Wendy's wicked plot to steal the youngster is far from finished.

There's a huge twist to the tale when Mercedes later learns Wendy has been involved in a fatal car accident, and questions are raised over her involvement. But is everything as it seems?

As the week goes on, Bobby turns on Mercedes over Wendy's death, leading her to fear their relationship is beyond repair. But when she discovers a message from 'G' on Bobby's laptop, she's convinced he has been secretly messaging with his serial killer grandad.

With no time to lose, Mercedes confronts Bobby, demanding the truth.

5. Neighbours: Harlow leaves Ramsay Street


Zara is being held hostage by Corey, and trying to mask her panic as she hatches an escape plan. Thinking on her feet, the brave teen sedates Corey with his own drugs then gets behind the wheel of the car to bring him back to Erinsborough to face justice.

Taken into police custody, Corey refuses to speak until he has seen Harlow, and as the two come face-to-face, she learns why he was trying to recruit her to The Order.

With the disturbing chapter in her life finally closed, Harlow decides it's time for a fresh start. And after an emotional heart-to-heart with Mackenzie, she takes up her aunt's offer of a one-way plane ticket to London.

All that's left to do is say goodbye to her loved ones in Ramsay Street, as Harlow jets off to start her new life back in Blighty.

6. Coronation Street: Audrey's life hangs in the balance


Gail is still concerned about Audrey's alcohol consumption, so Shona agrees to keep an eye on her. But when Gail later catches her mum drinking at The Rovers, she flips out and tries to wrestle the bottle of wine from her hand.

Rita attempts to calm the situation, and after making up with her old friend, she urges Audrey to return to work. But David is alarmed when his gran arrives at the barbers, cracks open a bottle of vino and starts flirting with Ryan.

Embarrassed by her antics, David tells Audrey to go home, but she trips over and is left sprawled across the floor. Having heard what has happened, exasperated Gail tries to talk some sense into Audrey, but she refuses to listen and declares she's moving back home with immediate effect.

Left alone at the barbers, events take a tragic turn when unsteady Audrey staggers into the motorbike, which falls and knocks her to the ground. And with no-one around to rescue her, the terrified OAP is forced to spend the night lying in agony trapped on the floor.

The next morning, Brian and Elaine hear a weak cry as they're passing by, and as Brian hurries off to fetch help, Audrey's son Stephen arrives on the Street in a taxi.

Breaking down the barber shop door, Stephen is horrified to find Audrey barely conscious. As an ambulance arrives to take Audrey to hospital, Gail is left sick with guilt, fearing her mum might not make it.

7. Emmerdale: Leyla turns on Suzy



Leyla has surprise visitor at Take A Vow this week in the form of Jai's old dealer, Jason. Unable to resist temptation, she purchases two bags of coke from him, but is rumbled by Suzy, who makes her disapproval known.

Trouble is looming when menacing Jason returns with an ultimatum – either she persuades Jai to get back in the fold or he'll cut her off from any future purchases.

Later, Suzy clocks Jason. Realising who he is, she orders him to leave, leaving Leyla with no means of scoring. In a state of agitation, Leyla turns on Suzy, demanding she hands over the details of her own dealer and threatening to tell Moira about her part in Holly's tragic death.

Realising she has got no choice, Suzy gives her the number and tells Leyla their friendship is well and truly finished. While Leyla begins to regret her actions, alarm bells are ringing for Liam as he comes to a conclusion about his wife's recent behaviour.

8. EastEnders: Stuart rejects Roland


Still struggling to adjust to parenthood, Stuart reluctantly agrees to look after Roland for the day. But as he ignores the tot's cries in the café, Sonia witnesses the scene and realises something is seriously wrong.

Concerned, Sonia goes to see Stuart and gives him the details of a cancer mental health support group. But when Vi returns and reveals she has also spoken to Sonia, angry Stuart snaps and declares he doesn't want to be Roland's dad.

The next day, Stuart goes AWOL ahead of the social worker's visit. As Vi and Callum manage to find him, they beg him to be there for Rainie.

Stuart returns home, but the meeting ends badly when Stuart ushers the social worker out, then tells heartbroken Rainie he doesn't want Roland and she should give him back to Bernie.

9. Hollyoaks: Sienna avenges Brody's death


Sienna is crushed after learning from Liberty that Damon is planning to adopt baby Faith. Fearing she's getting pushed out of their family, she gets Warren to put the frighteners on Damon, hoping it'll change his mind.

Unfortunately for Sienna the plan backfires, leading angry Liberty to issue her sister with an ultimatum.

Later on, Warren goes grovelling to Damon for forgiveness, but is hurt by some brutal truths, prompting him to make a revelation about Brody's murder.

Elsewhere, Sienna is shaken to the core when she makes a discovery on the recorder of Sophie's teddy bear. Not wanting to alert Warren, Sienna makes out everything is hunky dory then sets about hatching a revenge plan with Damon.

The pair make their first move, but realise someone is onto them, forcing Sienna to turn to an unlikely ally for assistance.

10. Home and Away: Tane is stabbed


Mac and Dean receive some unwanted visitors when two thugs arrive at Salt as they're closing up for the night. As the men pull out a knife and demand money from the till, Dean tells Mac they must do as they say.

The pair are forced to kneel on the ground as the intruders raid the premises, smashing bottles of alcohol and vandalising the restaurant.

Unaware of the carnage unfolding in Salt, Tane and Felicity come upstairs for a night cap and walk straight into the violent chaos. Dean acts quickly by tackling one of the brutes, while Tane turns on the other one, as Felicity and Mac take cover under a table.

Eventually, the thieves flee, but panic ensues when Felicity rushes to help Tane and discovers he has been stabbed in the stomach. Will he be okay?
