Home and Away's Xander to discover shock truth over car crash

 Xander is plunged into a difficult choice.

Home and Away's Xander Delaney is set to discover the shocking truth about the recent car crash between Logan Bennett and Millie in new scenes for UK viewers.

The two were recently involved in a horrific crash, which killed Millie's friend Jo, and Xander later learnt from Jasmine that police believed Logan may have been speeding, making him responsible for Jo's death.

However, Millie – who didn't initially remember what happened – believed she was responsible for the crash, and attempted to take her life by going into the sea. After being rescued, Xander tried to reassure her by revealing the information about Logan, breaking Jasmine's confidence.

In follow-on scenes, Xander plans to visit Millie in hospital, though his unprofessional attachment to her has concerned Jasmine – yet he is steadfast in his belief that Logan is to blame for the crash, despite nothing being confirmed.

Xander is concerned when Millie's newfound energy is channelled into a case against Logan, leading him to reconsider his choice to reveal the information, initially believing that it would absolve her of self-punishment rather than lead to a pursuit of Logan.

Feeling guilty, he admits his mistake to Jasmine, who is ashamed of his decision to break her confidence. Millie is discharged before Xander gets a chance to talk to her, and as they say goodbye she realises her memories are returning.

They are jogged further when Xander receives a text, Millie realising that she read a message on her phone just before the crash, which would suggest that she may have been responsible. As she leans on Xander for support, Millie realises that Jo's death may have been her fault after all.

She panics about the impact on her life, and Xander tells Millie that she has a responsibility to stop Logan from being wrongly prosecuted.

Xander then goes to the police station, wanting to find out information, though he is rebuffed by Rose, who wants to know what he is up to. Suspecting it is to do with Millie, she suggests a history of overinvestment.

Jasmine separately speaks to Rose over her own concerns about Xander and Millie, though gets a cold reception, Rose telling her that Xander can spend time with whomever he wants.

However, Millie pleads with Xander to keep the truth about her culpability secret, as he threatens to go to the police. She in turn reveals that she knows about his history of harassment, and will use that against him if he goes to the police.

Xander reminds Millie that Logan could wrongly go to jail, though Millie insists she must live with the knowledge that her friend died because of her.
