Neighbours star Ryan Moloney hits out over Logie Awards tribute
"That's not how you treat people."
Neighbours favourite Ryan Moloney has scolded this year's Logie Awards organisers following a disappointing tribute to the soap.
37 years on from its TV inception, Neighbours will sadly draw to a close forever in August, but it never received the ceremonial send-off it deserved at the Logies last weekend.
Joining 2Day FM's Hughesy, Ed and Erin to reflect on the experience, the Toadie Rebecchi actor claimed: "We turned up and we did our mandatory three-hour talking to people on the red carpet.
"When we got in the room, we ended up being split up and stuck on two different tables. It was horrible!
"Our table was actually even stuck behind the cameras. We couldn't even see the stage. It was incredibly disappointing the package they put together."
In Moloney's mind, Neighbours veterans should've been invited on stage to bid their farewells after a highlight reel played out, but instead, two random ex-cast members were.
"Daniel [MacPherson] and Nat [Bassingthwaighte] are just absolutely gorgeous people and absolutely nothing against them, but we've got people who have been on TV for nearly 30 years each, and I think probably the least they could do is get us to say something," he said.

"I mean... we're in the bloody [Logies] Hall of Fame.
"That's not how you treat people and a show that's in the Hall of Fame. I mean, good luck to the Logies, really."
To celebrate its incredible legacy, has compiled six reasons why Neighbours changed the televisual landscape.
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 and streams on My5. In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach and streams on 10 Play.
