Home and Away stars respond to latest character exit

Their final scenes air in the UK in September.

Home and Away spoilers follow for UK viewers.

We have already seen some notable departures in Home and Away this year, and the farewells are still coming with another bowing out on screen in Australia.

Sam Barrett has been playing the part of Chloe Anderson in Summer Bay since very early on in 2021. But her stay in the Bay was relatively short in soap terms, as the character has now said goodbye to her fellow residents.

Barrett posted on Instagram after her final scenes aired in Oz to say goodbye to the character, simply saying: "Take care little bloom."

Some of her co-stars replied to the post, including icon Lynne McGranger, who said "Hey cutie. Hope you're safe and well", and Jacqui Purvis who got straight to the point by just saying "Missing you".

Matt Evans also shared a post about her departure from the long-running – and about to be sole – Channel 5 soap, taking to Instagram to say: "Bye for now Sammy. Missing your quirkiness and good heart at the bay. Was such a pleasure to work with you."

Chloe has been front and centre for some big stories in her time on the soap, and her final scenes will see her leave for a new life in New Zealand after Tane thought she would be safer outside of the Bay.

Chloe had a long history with Ari and only found out about his stay in prison after she arrived last year.

That armed robbery came back to haunt her though when Tex arrived, and it soon turned out that he was there to track down Ari on behalf of a nasty biker gang.

Tane has now found himself in a world of trouble with Tex and the gang who want the cash they think is owed to them – so it is little wonder that he wants Chloe out of harm's way.

Chloe's final scenes will air in the UK in September.

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.15pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.
