Neighbours confirms Mike Young's return story as Guy Pearce reprises classic role

 Are we set for a Mike and Jane reunion?

We are heading towards the final week of Neighbours, and the final episodes bring many old faces with them – including '80s legend Mike Young.

Hollywood star Guy Pearce has reprised his iconic role and is set to be reunited on screen with many people that were around during his era – including his childhood sweetheart, Jane Harris.

If Mike does have his eye on a reconciliation over 30 years in the making with Jane, then his timing is good as Jane and Clive’s relationship is on the rocks.

Clive is still hopeful that he can win Jane back, but next week gets off to a bad start for him when Jane catches Byron handing him his watch back that he left at Danielle’s.

While Byron is able to make things a little better for Clive by explaining the innocent reason that the watch was there, it is clear that Clive has his work cut out for him if he stands a chance of getting Jane back.

Realising that he needs to pull out all the stops, Clive plans a huge romantic gesture but before he can pull it off, he is horrified to see that Mike has made a surprise return to Erinsborough.

Clive tries to play it cool when he sees Jane and Mike together, while Jane and Mike take a tour of all the houses on Ramsay Street – including the two that Mike used to live in.

But when Clive hears that they are reminiscing after he has already had a few drinks, he is unable to hold back his jealousy any longer and marches down to Ramsay Street to have it out with his love rival.

But is Clive only set to make things worse, and are we about to see a romantic reunion between old lovers Mike Young and Jane Harris?

Neighbours airs weekdays at 1.45pm and 6pm on Channel 5 and streams on My5. In Australia, the show airs Mondays to Thursdays at 6.30pm on 10 Peach and streams on 10 Play.
