"Sometimes I feel guilty that he's all mine."

Neighbours actress April Rose Pengilly has shared a romantic tribute to her boyfriend Adam Paul as they celebrate six months of being a couple.

The Chloe Brennan actress posted a collection of photos — showing the couple on the beach, in a field, in some fancy buildings, in a lift — alongside a caption gushing about him.

"Six months," she wrote. "He is so kind, clever, fun, funny, silly, caring and thoughtful.

"I have had one of the most stressful and unstable years of my life, but he has been there through it all, helping me and supporting me and treating me like a princess.

"Sometimes I feel guilty that he's all mine and other people don't get to have him as their boyfriend because he is so wonderful and I am so lucky. Happy anniversary."

Pengilly first joined the Australian soap in 2017, and since then her character has been in storylines involving her Huntington's disease, her escort business, and romantic relationships with Leo Tanaka, Pierce Greyson and Nicolette Stone.

Last year, Pengilly revealed that her co-star Bonnie Anderson — who played Bea Nilsson — was also considered for the role of Chloe, and it was actually a very close competition between them.

"Fun fact: it was actually down to Bonnie and I for the role of Chloe! I remember seeing her waiting to do her final audition as I was on the way out after doing mine," she wrote.

"In the end, they decided that I was more of a Chloe, but they wrote a new role just for her because they loved her so much – and it isn't hard to see why!"

Meanwhile, Channel 5 commissioning editor Greg Barnett exclusively spoke to  about the end of Neighbours, talking about their plans for the final week, and how they will continue to support Australian drama.
