Emmerdale's Mackenzie Boyd sleeps with a mystery woman next week after a new row with his partner Charity Dingle.

The couple are currently grieving after learning that Charity's pregnancy was ectopic and therefore not viable.

In next week's episodes, Mackenzie struggles over how to tell Charity that he'd still like to have a child with her.

Mackenzie takes Charity on a wellness retreat, in the hopes of opening up the lines of communication.

The couple try out meditation together, but they struggle to take it seriously and end up ditching the session.

Heading off alone together, Mackenzie and Charity kiss. Charity mentions that they haven't slept together since they lost the baby, so Mackenzie takes this as his chance to mention that he wants them to try for another child.

Mackenzie's revelation sparks a row with Charity, who accuses him of being insensitive.

Charity makes it clear that having another child isn't something she'd consider, so if Mackenzie wants to have a baby, it won't be with her. She encourages Mackenzie to go elsewhere if that's what he wants.

Before long, Mackenzie returns to his womanising ways and ends up in bed with a mysterious lady.

Mack is unaware that Charity has been busy confiding in Moira Dingle, who has encouraged her to fix things with him.

Later, Mackenzie returns home and is taken aback when Charity changes her mind, confirming that she won't rule out having another baby in the future.

Although the couple are reunited, Mackenzie feels terrible for sleeping with somebody else. Is it only a matter of time before the truth comes out?

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV and streams on the ITV Hub.
