Home and Away spoilers: New trailer reveals huge pregnancy twist for Ziggy and Dean

Ziggy Astoni (Sophie Dillman) is left in complete and utter shock in Home and Away next week when she discovers that she is pregnant.

The popular character returns home full of the joys of life having picked up the victory at a surf competition. With sponsorship on the table, she starts to believe that she is on the cusp on making her dreams a reality.

Things, however, take a huge turn when she loses her balance upon emerging from the water.

Doctor Bree Cameron (Juliet Godwin) comes to her aid and questions if she might be pregnant. Ziggy is shocked by the suggestion, but she takes it upon herself to get some answers as she takes a pregnancy test.

The test proves positive, which leaves Ziggy stunned, as she attempts to work out what comes next.

Sophie Dillman, who plays Ziggy, told  that her character’s initial shock comes from the fact that she is on the cusp of achieving so much success when she makes the discovery.

She said: ‘All this excitement was coming for her and she was ready and this was her total path and it was easy and comfortable – and then this happened and she was like, “Oh my God, I don’t even know what to do.” I don’t think she computes it straight away.

‘She’s like: “My dream was in my grasp and now it’s been taken away. But is it being taken away, because I kind of wanted to be a mum?”.

‘I’m sure in reality when people find out they’re pregnant it’s just everything going on in your head all at once. ‘

A brand new trailer, which you can watch above, previews the scenes in question, as Ziggy attempts to come to terms with her discovery.

What’s more, she later relays the news to Dean (Patrick O’Connor). Just how will he react?

‘He’s super happy!’, Sophie told us. ‘He would love to have another baby but he doesn’t want to influence Ziggy either way because it’s her body and her decision so he’s very cautious about what she sees, but he is totally on board with having a baby.’

Home and Away airs these scenes w/c Monday October 10 at 1:45pm on Channel 5, with first look episodes at 6:30pm on 5star.
