 "Here's hoping it's our last!"

Emmerdale star Jay Kontzle has welcomed his third child with his wife Mimi.

Jay and Mimi are already parents to six-year-old daughter KaiBo and four-year-old Zian. Mimi went into labour last Wednesday, before giving birth on Friday.

The couple told OK! Magazine: “We're excited to announce that on Friday 18th November we were blessed with our third child. Mummy did amazing and both her and the baby are healthy and well."

The couple also said the pregnancy was not planned but they are thrilled to welcome the baby, whose name and sex have not yet been confirmed, to their family. They married in 2017, a year before Kontzle joined the cast of Emmerdale as Billy.

Earlier this year, he spoke about his reaction to finding out the unexpected but exciting news. He found out on the set of Emmerdale while taking a break from filming..

"Mimi called me during my lunch break on set and told me," Kontzle said. "I was sitting eating lunch in the sun and all of a sudden I went hot and started dripping with sweat. I was a bit shocked!"

Kontzle was also part of a boyband called The Mend, who auditioned for The X-Factor in 2011 and Britain's Got Talent in 2012. They did very well on the latter, reaching the final.

"It is true, I was part of a band, and it was an experience!" he said. "I don't really talk about it now because I've kind of moved on."

"But the best thing about being in a band was the insight I got into the industry. We worked with people at the top of their game, like Simon Cowell. But in the end, the business side of music put me off."
