Emmerdale's Kyle Winchester sparks concern with Al Chapman memorial

 Matty makes a discovery.

Emmerdale schoolboy Kyle Winchester struggles to cope with his guilt over Al Chapman's death next week.

The 10-year-old was recently revealed as the mystery culprit who shot Al at the end of last month. Kyle's father Cain Dingle has covered for him by taking the blame for the crime.

Next week's episodes see Kyle's family try to look to the future after Moira Dingle and Amy Wyatt return from Belfast with him.

Moira and Amy are desperate for Kyle to return to some kind of normality, while Matty Barton also keeps an eye on him after being brought in on the secret.

Kyle's behaviour takes an unsettling turn when he pays a return visit to the barn where Al died. The youngster is clearly tormented by what he did.

Matty soon stumbles across a collection of rocks which have been placed in the middle of the barn. He guesses that Kyle is creating a memorial for Al.

A concerned Matty starts to fear that it's too soon for Kyle to return to school, but Moira and Amy decide to go ahead with sending him back.

The following day, Amy, Moira and Matty feign an air of normality as they prepare Kyle for school, but their anxiety is obvious. Will Kyle's return to lessons go badly?

Natalie J Robb, who plays Moira, recently previewed her character's return by saying: "Moira gets her head around it. She does come back from Belfast, saying it was a blip and it'll be okay now. She thinks she can make it work.

"Moira doesn't really know deep down whether it's something she can do, but at this stage, she thinks she's got to give it everything because Cain is the love of her life.

"We have a scene where Moira says that she'll do everything she can to keep their family together. That's always been Moira's thing – she's fierce about her family."

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 7.30pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
