Hollyoaks to reveal newcomer Rayne's secret as Neighbours star Jemma Donovan debuts

The Aussie soap star will make a dramatic entrance in Chester.

Hollyoaks has lined up a huge revelation for Neighbours star Jemma Donovan's new character as she debuts in the soap.

Donovan's Rayne arrives in Chester as a huge social media sensation alongside childhood best friend Lacey Lloyd (Annabelle Davis) as part of a shared house with Romeo (Owen Warner), Nadira (Ashling O’Shea) and Prince (Malique Thompson-Dwyer).

The story is set to kick off with Prince and Hunter scrambling to spruce things up ahead of a house inspection, yet a comment to Tom leads to them being forced to find a roommate or cover extra rent.

The brothers are determined to stay away from any romantic entanglements, just as Rayne speeds into the village on a motorbike.

Rayne has turned up with friend Lacey, who is interviewing at Dee Valley Law. Lacey tries to land the job by showing her passion for law, yet doesn't leave with a good feeling due to James Nightingale's aloof behaviour.

Before long, Rayne and Lacey are moving into the shared house. Prince quickly gets fed up with Rayne spending all her time with new roomie Nadira, so he comes up with a plan to have Tom distract Nadira.

The brothers also go back on their word when a game of Truth or Dare sees them become so competitive for Rayne's attention that they get into a physical fight.

Tom intervenes to encourage the McQueen brothers not to get romantically involved with Rayne so it doesn't hurt their relationship with one another.

The McQueens quickly brush aside Tom's guidance to continue their flirting. When Prince posts a photo with Rayne on social media, she worries that her ex-boyfriend Mikey will now be able to locate her.

Rayne explains to the brothers that she stole Mikey's Vespa as he owes her money. The brothers have a big decision to make when Rayne asks them to meet Mikey for her.

Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
