Home and Away airs Bella Nixon's return storyline as her split from Nikau is revisited

 Will they reunite?

Home and Away spoilers follow from Australian-pace episodes, which some UK viewers may prefer to avoid.

Home and Away aired Bella Nixon's return storyline on Australian screens on Thursday (February 23).

Courtney Miller filmed a brief return stint as Bella late last year, reprising the role after a few months away.

The show's latest episodes on Channel 7 in Australia saw Bella arrive back in Summer Bay while on a break from work commitments.

Bella has been focusing on her photography career in New York, but found time to come back for five days in-between assignments.

The popular character chose to return following the news that Ziggy Astoni and Dean Thompson had welcomed a baby girl, Izzy, together.

When quizzed over her intentions, Bella insisted that she was only interested in catching up with her friends and didn't care about bumping into her ex-boyfriend Nikau Parata.

Dean suspected that this wasn't really the case, although Bella continued to put on a brave face when she inevitably crossed paths with Nikau.

Reflecting on how Nikau dumped her following her departure for New York, Bella told him: "You breaking up with me was possibly the best thing that could have happened. So we're cool."

Later though, Bella admitted that she still had questions over why Nikau had ended their relationship so abruptly.

In a heart-to-heart with Dean, Bella recalled: "I don't even know why – all I ever did was love him."

Dean pointed out: "If you've really got questions, surely you didn't come all this way not to ask them, right?"

When Bella gave Nikau a chance to explain himself, she finally heard about how he was only trying to protect her when he cut all ties with her amid the Parata family's biker gang danger.

Bella started spending time with Nikau again, agreeing that they could be friends. However, with Nikau due to leave Summer Bay soon, could he end up departing with Bella?

Home and Away fans in the UK will see these scenes on Channel 5 in April.

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5 and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm on 5STAR and the show also streams on My5.
