Neighbours house goes up for sale ahead of show's big return
Would you like to live in the house?
Australian soap Neighbours went out with quite a bang in 2022, but then swiftly announced its big return/reboot. But just as the show is gearing up for its epic return, it has been revealed that an iconic house from the show has gone up for sale.
The house, known as 30 Ramsay Street Erinsborough, is on the market for a private sale on Docking.com.au. And if you fancy living in the house – which has been inhabited by the likes of Toadie, Steph Scully and Paul Robinson – I hope you have the cash because the house has been listed for a whopping $1.275 million AUD.
The split level, four-bedroom home even has an elevated pergola overlooking the adjacent Billabong Park.
“Arguably Australia’s suburban version of ‘Hollywood’, Pin Oak Court stands as a testament to the long running television show which launched the careers of Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan, Guy Pearce and Margot Robbie,” the listing says.
“This is a rare opportunity to stake your claim in that television history, preserving a part of Ramsay Street for yourself – where you can live out the show’s premise of a tightknit neighbourhood in the leafy eastern suburbs of Melbourne,” it adds.
This raises the question of whether that house will still be used for filming the reboot.
The answer is unclear because according to the Docking Real Estate director Adam Docking, they are still awaiting confirmation on whether the show’s producers will use the property and the real life street — Pin Oak Court — for the reboot when it commences filming in April.
In November of last year, it was announced that the show will return for a shocking reboot after going off air in July, 37 years after the soap first began.
Guess we’ll see what happens next.
Neighbours returns in the second half of 2023 with new episodes streaming free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US. Network 10 will retain first-run rights in Australia for the new series.
