Hollyoaks hints at possible exit for Imran Maalik
Will he decide to leave the village?
Hollyoaks has hinted that Imran Maalik could be set to exit the village.
The character has been a mainstay of the soap for the past six years, though amid the arrival of cousin Dillon Ray, Imran mulls over his future.
In upcoming scenes set to air next week, Dillon shares his excitement to start school and make new friends, and gets a tour of the village courtesy of Imran.
As he goes down memory lane of his time there, Imran realises that he cannot move on from his past traumas, including a recent eating disorder, especially with constant reminders around him.
He begins to question his future there, while mum Misbah throws herself into helping her son. She speaks to Brooke at the Love Boat and returns home, admitting to Yazz and Zain that she is concerned about Imran.
Imran then accuses Misbah of using her worry to cover the fact that she's scared. However, Dillon convinces his cousin to meet him to show him a trick. Dillon then hurts himself, leading to Imran and Misbah rushing in to help.
Amid the chaos, will Imran still want to depart?
Nathaniel Dass was cast as Dillon earlier this month, and teased the kind of storyline fans can expect from his character. He said: "I'm super excited for people to see what's in store for my character Dillon.
"He's got a lot about him so it's going to be fun seeing what kind of trouble he gets into, who he'll become friends with and if there's maybe a few potential romances, you'll have to see."
Hollyoaks streams first on All 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
