Where is the Neighbours reboot being filmed?

 We are hoping Erinsborough stays the same.

Since 1985, Neighbours aired on our screens where we followed and loved the people who lived in the fictional suburb, Erinsborough.

But since the original finished in 2022, will the reboot – set to air in 2023 – be filmed in the 2023 – be filmed in the same location?

For 37 years the show was filmed in the very real location, Vermont South in Melbourne.

Scenes shot on the iconic Ramsay Street were also filmed in a real location, the residential cul-de-sac called Pin Oak Court located in Vermont, Melbourne.

And no, this street isn't purely used for the purpose of filming. People actually lived on Pink Oak Street and just allowed film crews to shoot on their front lawns – now they embody the 'Neighbours' spirit.

However, interior scenes including inside all of the houses, bars and restaurants were filmed at a Nunawading-based studio, which is based in Melbourne.

There is even a purpose-built set at all the studios, which features all of the external buildings including Paul Robinson's Lassiter's complex and Harrold's Café.

The Lassiter's complex is located on Sutherland Street, near Lassiter's lake which is actually real! The lake was built at the studios especially for filming.

Memorable scenes shot outside of Erinsborough Hospital were actually filmed at the entrance of the Nunawading production office.

But what about the Neighbours reboot? Well Melbourne residents get excited, the network managed to secure the same location for Ramsay Street.

Given the break between the original and reboot, it remains unclear as to whether there will be any issues with the layout as homes may have undergone renovations.
