Home and Away's Ada Nicodemou 'in love again' as she announces news away from soap

Home and Away icon Ada Nicodemou, who plays Leah Patterson, made an exciting announcement away from the Australian soap as she revealed she's fallen in love again..

Home and Away star Ada Nicodemou confessed she's "fallen in love again" in a gushing social media post.

The actress, 46, best known for playing Leah Patterson on the Australian soap since 2000, took to Instagram to share the happy news. And her new love was revealed to be her baby niece Mikaela.

In the gallery of sweet snaps, the soap star beamed with pride as she cradled the newborn alongside her brother Costa's other daughter, Sofia. "I'm officially in love - again! I’ve become an aunt for the second time,' Ada wrote in the caption as she posed with her family.

She added: "Our gorgeous little Mikaela has just taken my breath away, literally couldn’t take my eyes off her, she’s the most adorable little girl. We are blessed."

It comes after Ada sparked engagement rumours with boyfriend of seven years Adam Rigby. According to a report in New Idea in August, the couple skipped the Logie Awards in favour of a holiday to Cyprus.

Their engagement was speculated after the actress confirmed to the publication that the trip was so businessman Adam could meet her extended family. The loved-up pair were joined by Ada's son Johnas, who she shares with ex-husband Chrys Xipolitas.

Ada recently gushed over their relationship, telling TV Week that they met at a work function and Adam had no idea she was a soap star. "We met at a work function and he had no idea who I was," Ada recalled.

"It's kind of cool though, right? I like that he had no idea about the show." The Aussie star opened up about Adam's bond with Johnas, 11, admitting they "adore" each other.

"Adam and Johnas adore each other; he's such a great stepdad and has really stepped up," she explained. "For a man to come into my world and love a child as if he were his own – and love me like I've never been loved before – is incredibly special.

"I rely on him a lot, which is a real first for me. I've never been able to do that before; I've always held the reins. So it's nice to know he has our back – he's a great man."
