Hollyoaks reveals surprise new ally for Dilly in Sienna storyline

 Help from an unlikely source...

Hollyoaks has revealed a surprise ally for Dilly Harcourt as she fled the village to avoid questioning over the death of Rafe.

Previous episodes saw the full truth about Dilly's identity finally exposed, with Sienna finally learning that Dilly was not only responsible for the death of the Earl of Dee (who was actually Dilly's husband and not her brother) but also her long-lost half-sister.

Tonight's (February 7) first-look instalment saw Dilly evade questioning over Rafe's death after finding an unlikely ally in Ethan Williams.

Following their previous showdown, Sienna and Liberty Savage watched to see if Dilly would make it through her injuries. However, as the pair waited, Sienna made the horrifying connection between Dilly's confession and the smell at the Manor.

"Dilly said that she killed Rafe. What if that smell... what if it's Rafe's body?" a horrified Sienna asked Liberty.

Back at the house, the pair headed to the basement to uncover the source of the smell, with Sienna left heartbroken after discovering Rafe's body under a blanket.

"He didn't leave me. He loved me, and she took him away," she told Liberty.

Anxious to uncover the full truth, Sienna and Liberty headed back to the hospital with DS Zoe Anderson — only to discover that Dilly had fled after waking up.

Meanwhile, Dilly arranged a meeting with Ethan and revealed that she's Sienna's half-sister and needs help escaping from the village and evading capture from the police. However, Ethan refused the request, telling her she was on her own.

Later on, in the village, Zoe and Liberty finally spotted Dilly but couldn't catch up with her before she jumped into a car and sped away.

The pair reported the news to a horrified Sienna, as it was revealed to viewers that Ethan had ultimately changed his mind and was responsible for helping Dilly escape.

"Don't worry, I'll keep you safe," he told her.

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.
