Neighbours confirms more tragedy with character exit as much-loved resident pays the price

Neighbours spoilers w:c Monday February 19
With a choice to make, a sudden disappearance and brutal fight, Neighbours doesn’t hold back with the punches next week (Picture: Amazon Freevee)

Neighbours lines up another overwhelmingly emotional week with the subject of grief at the centre of all the drama, as revealed in Metro’s newest spoilers.

Tissues at the ready!

The Amazon Freevee soap continues to focus on the aftermath of David Tanaka’s (Takaya Honda) tragic death, with husband Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson) struggling to come to terms with what’s happened.

And he’s not the only one, with both Nicolette Stone (Hannah Monson) and Krista Sinclair (Majella Davis) set to open up about their own feelings of sadness and loss.

Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis), meanwhile, continues to grieve his son too.

David was clearly a very special person to many.

Toadie Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney) will also have a lot on his plate as he finds himself reeling in the wake of Melanie Pearson’s (Lucinda Cowden) revelation, while wife Terese Willis (Rebekah Elamloglou) gives him the short shrift.

If you’re eager to find out what’s to come then you needn’t wait until next week as I’ve got all the spoilers you could possibly need right here, so let’s get stuck in shall we?

Aaron vanishes as his grief over David consumes him

Aaron’s mental health has been the subject of much concern in the wake of beloved husband David’s death.

The residents of Ramsay Street have been determined to show him support but Aaron can’t help but lash out at the world, devastated that he’s been robbed of a life with his soulmate.

The grieving widower’s anger is a subject of discussion, especially after Paul’s portrait in the complex is vandalised, leaving Cara with food for thought as she puts two and two together.

Unable to control his anger, Aaron lashes out at Slade, with Andrew intervening in the nick of time. But unable to face his new reality, Aaron runs away from his responsibilities as he goes missing, leaving Nicolette struggling to cope as she believes that he’s abandoned his family.

With Isla questioning where her other dad has gone, will Aaron return to support their daughter through her grief? Or will his own overwhelm him to the point that he cannot return to Erinsborough?

Nicolette falls to pieces as she finally allows herself to grieve

Nicolette has been the shoulder for everyone to cry on in the wake of David’s death, not to mention the fact that she’s been there for daughter Isla through it all.

But with Aaron missing, she feels little sympathy for him, especially as she’s tasked with explaining the situation to Isla. Jane, however, proves to be the support that she needs, with Nicolette finally releasing her own deep feelings of grief.

Toadie and Melanie’s secret confession exposed as Terese sees red

With Melanie having told him that she wants him back, Toadie decides to avoid her, not quite sure how to process such a revelation. Terese, meanwhile, confesses that she’s been visiting ex Paul. Toadie is riddled with guilt over Terese’s honesty and decides it’s time to confront Melanie head on about what she’s said.

What happens next, however, ignites Melanie’s hopes of a reunion further, instead of dampening them like Toadie had intended!

Terese, meanwhile, makes an unwelcomed remark to Melanie later in the week while she’s doing her community service. Melanie fights fire with fire, getting dressed up to the nines in her iconic tiger print dress in a bid to tempt Toadie.

Toadie is given some words of warning by Holly and Karl, who both encourage him to be honest about who and what he wants, and therefore the lawyer decides to confront Terese.

Little does he know, however, that Melanie has already dished out some of what’s gone on to Terese, who is livid with her husband.

Terese seeks counsel from Wendy while Mel questions Toad on whether he told Terese how he felt – and his hesitation speaks volumes!

JJ faces serious danger

JJ Varga-Murphy takes it upon himself to scare off Slade and his gang, who vandalise the van, but his ego takes a beating when Cara and Remi find out about the altercation.

Cara is still struggling to come to terms with the ramifications of her old whistleblowing past concerning the Linwell brothers and therefore she’s worried she might be overreacting.

But her worst fears could be realised as JJ is unaware of just how much danger he’s in as he crosses paths with Slade once more and a terrifying situation ensues.

Krista realises that good neighbours can, in fact, become good friends

Krista is struggling to cope in the wake of David’s death. David, as viewers will recall, was recovering addict Krista’s sober companion and he ultimately became much more than that, proving to be the friend and confidante she needed during her tough time.

The newcomer is determined to stay sober, though it’s hard not to feel triggered and lonely. But not everyone is as cruel as Paul and, with the residents of Number 32 seeing just how hard Krista has taken David’s passing, they come up with a plan to help.

Using Paul’s grief to get what she wants, Chelsea manipulates her way into moving into the penthouse to look after him.

Cara is appalled by her sister’s extreme lengths and tries to confront her about it but Chelsea proceeds to throw her weight around the hotel, believing she has Paul’s permission to act as his proxy. One big decision she makes is to cancel Krista’s ‘Lassiters’ Longest Lie-In’ event but will she get away with it?

Andrew’s behaviour spooks Wendy

Wendy is left a little uneasy when she catches Andrew looking through a family photo album, with her husband’s defensive reaction leaving her curious. The policeman’s out-of-sorts behaviour continues to leave her spooked but soon enough Wendy pieces together what’s really going on with him.

The question is: just what is it?

Neighbours streams Mondays to Thursdays from 7am on Amazon Freevee.
