Neighbours officially confirms 9,000th episode storyline

Paul Robinson's past is revisited next week.

Neighbours has confirmed the full details of Paul Robinson taking centre stage in the show's 9,000th episode.

The long-running soap reaches this impressive milestone next Monday (March 4) – and fans can expect some nods to the past as Paul's colourful history is revisited.

The episode sees Aaron Brennan set out to give Paul's new girlfriend Chelsea Murphy some home truths about what he's capable of.

Aaron is irritated when Chelsea asks if Paul can spend some time with his young granddaughter Isla.

The barman is grieving the loss of his husband David Tanaka and is struggling to forgive Paul for his inadvertent role in causing the tragedy.

After refusing Chelsea's request, Aaron becomes concerned over how quickly she has immersed herself into Paul's world.

Fearful that it won't end well for Chelsea, Aaron steps in and tries to warn her about what she's taking on.

Aaron takes Chelsea on a 'Paul Robinson Greatest Hits' tour, sharing all the shocking details of his dastardly past.

With Chelsea focused on her own secret agenda, will she really be put off from Paul so easily?

Viva Bianca, who plays Chelsea, recently teased her character's future by saying: "The thing about Chelsea is she's always got something else kind of ticking. And in this instance, it turns out things aren’t quite as they seem. Let's just say she's a really effective manipulator, and she does somewhat work her way into Paul Robinson's good books."

She added: "Chelsea sticks around for a while and has quite a bit of business to tend to, and is determined to do so. So you'll be seeing a fair bit of me over the next few months."

Recent episodes have seen Chelsea scheme her way to securing a managerial position at Lassiters, stepping in to oversee the running of the hotel while Paul is distracted by his grief for David.

Neighbours airs its 9,000th episode on Monday, March 4.

Neighbours releases new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays for free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US. In Australia, the show airs from Mondays to Thursdays at 4pm on Channel 10, with a 6.30pm repeat screening on 10 Peach.
