EastEnders' Jade Masood to make a discovery in sinister Dean story

 Has he been caught out?

EastEnders will air a worrying twist next week, as Dean Wicks' dark story continues.

Dean has been deliberately risking the health of his daughter Jade Masood, resorting to shocking lengths to keep her in Walford.

Dean started tampering with Jade's medication earlier this month, after learning that she was planning to move to Pakistan with her mum Shabnam.

Upcoming scenes will see Jean Slater continue to support Jade as she prepares for her fundraiser.

They approach Linda Carter about using The Vic as a venue and she surprisingly agrees – on the condition that Dean isn't allowed to attend.

Jean grows anxious when Jade has a bad coughing fit and calls the doctor, much to Dean's horror.

Things get worse when Jade takes a look at his phone and makes a discovery.

Dean has a lot of explaining to do when Jade and Jean confront him about dodging Shabnam's calls and texts.

He manages to convince them that he's been burying his head in the sand over Jade leaving and avoiding Shabnam.

This confuses Jade, who reasons that her mum knows she's still too ill to go to Pakistan anyway.

Jade later asks Dean if she can go to the fundraiser at The Vic, but he insists that he'll only let her if she's well enough.

Jade remains unaware that Dean is continuing to mess with her antibiotics to keep her close.

When Johnny taunts Dean about being banned from Jade's fundraiser, Dean becomes even more determined to find a way to get there.

After manipulating both Jean and Harvey, Dean arrives at The Vic, and Jade convinces Elaine just to let him see her speech.

As they wait for her big moment, Dean encourages Jade to stay with him in London, but she remains firm and insists she is going to Pakistan to be with her mum.

Linda is furious to see Dean in her bar and rushes upstairs, with Jean right behind her.

Linda manages to make Jean see that Dean is playing her, so Jean returns downstairs to order him to leave. Until a further turn of events threatens to change everything...

EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
