Neighbours' Sadie Rodwell lashes out over 'ruined' Byron Stone romance

Andrew and Wendy cause trouble for their daughter.

NeighboursSadie Rodwell blames her parents Andrew and Wendy next week as her new romance starts to go wrong.

Sadie is livid when Byron Stone is put off from pursuing their relationship thanks to Andrew making his life difficult.

Upcoming episodes see Andrew struggle with his discovery that Sadie is dating Byron – partly due to Byron's past as a male escort.

Next week, Wendy urges Andrew to accept Sadie's choices as she hopes to stay in her daughter's good books.

Andrew finds it difficult to go along with this, firmly believing that Byron is the wrong man for his daughter.

Wendy focuses her efforts on proving that she's a "cool mum", but Sadie accuses her of being just as intrusive as her dad.

Taking this on board, Wendy tells Andrew that they need to take a step back. Andrew ignores her and abuses his position in the local police force to take revenge on Byron, putting an "unroadworthy" sticker on his car.

Sadie is furious when she finds out that Andrew hassled Byron over the state of his tyres. Byron confirms that he spoke to a mechanic who confirmed the tyres had at least another six months to safely run.

Andrew is put on the spot when Sadie calls him out over his personal vendetta against Byron. Sadie warns her dad that he needs to accept she's now an adult with a sex life. Wendy agrees, but Andrew still refuses to give the relationship his blessing.

Realising this is a recipe for disaster, Byron tells Sadie that they should take some time out from their relationship in light of how her parents are reacting.

Heartbroken by Byron's decision, Sadie bitterly accuses Andrew of ruining her first proper romance.
