Neighbours confirms lifeline for Sadie and Byron after horror accident

There's new hope for the couple.

Neighbours has confirmed that Sadie Rodwell and Byron Stone are to be given a lifeline following her dad’s horror accident.

Sadie and Byron have been keen to pursue a relationship, but Sadie’s parents Andrew and Wendy have made this difficult, as they disapprove of Byron’s past as a male escort.

Andrew even tried to take revenge on his daughter’s new beau by using his position in the police force to put an "unroadworthy" sticker on his car — even though his tyres were perfectly fine.

As a result of this incident, Byron called time on the relationship and Sadie was left heartbroken, telling her dad that he has ruined her first proper romance.

Meanwhile, in scenes that aired today (April 3), Andrew tried to intercept his brother Felix’s plan to steal expensive materials from the Eirini Rising development.

However, as he approached the building, Felix’s accomplice JJ Varga-Murphy got into his van and knocked over some scaffolding — which then collapsed on top of Andrew.

In scenes that will air on Tuesday (April 9), Andrew arrives home from hospital after receiving treatment and gets a surprisingly warm welcome from his daughter.

Sadie says that she doesn’t want to fight anymore, while Andrew admits that he went overboard with his reaction to Byron.

When Sadie reveals she's still concerned about the damage done to the relationship, Andrew visits Byron to try and repair this damage.

Andrew tells him that his has withdrawn the "unroadworthy" notice, and also reluctantly vows not to get in the way of him and Sadie, much to Byron’s surprise.

Sadie is grateful for her dad’s change of heart and is hopeful when she crosses paths with Byron, but she is hurt when Byron emits an awkward vibe in their conversation.

However, Sadie is thrilled when Byron later comes around and asks her for a second chance, with the pair back on course. What will the future hold for the couple?

Neighbours releases new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays for free on Amazon Freevee in the UK and US. In Australia, the show airs from Mondays to Thursdays at 4pm on Channel 10, with a 6.30pm repeat screening on 10 Peach.
