Home and Away confirms Dana Matheson's passionate new romance

 They just can't stay away from each other.

Home and Away has a spicy romance in store for Dana Matheson following ex boyfriend Xander Delaney's departure from the Bay.

In episodes airing in Australia this week and in the UK in July, Dana and Sonny Baldwin will give in to temptation despite having several reasons to want to stay away from each other.

After being targeted by the River Boys, Dana decided to break off her budding romance with Sonny, particularly after her sister Harper expressed some concerns over her safety.

In upcoming scenes, the storyline takes a turn when Harper and Dana are celebrating at the Diner. Sonny walks by, with Dana immediately losing focus on her conversation with her sister.

She follows him to the balcony, where they agree to stay friends despite having palpable chemistry.

However, it looks like they won't stay friends for long. At home, Sonny is mulling over his conversation with Dana when he hears a knock on the door.

Dana bursts in and kisses him. They spend the night together, but what will happen come morning?

"He's been single for a while and hasn't ever been a committed person," Ryan Bown told TV WEEK about his character Sonny. "He's had a few things to come back from and in the process of doing that, he met Dana."

"They have great chemistry," he added. “Working with Ally [Harris] is so much fun [too]. She's smart, witty and keeps you on your toes."
