Home and Away confirms new target for dangerous River Boys
"She quickly learns how serious things are."
Home and Away has confirmed a new target for the dangerous River Boys, following Gage Reynolds' arrest.
The vengeful gang leader recently discovered a fling between his girlfriend Lacey Miller and Theo Poulos, after spotting the pair kissing. Furious Gage trapped Theo under a car, leaving him to die, while kidnapped Lacey watched helplessly.
Lacey later gave a secret statement to the police, leading to Gage's arrest. Now, the River Boys are turning their attention to police officer Cash Newman, by camping outside of his home, day and night, in a bid to intimidate him.
The threat against Cash will also spell trouble for Eden Fowler, as she is left to fend for herself while he attempts to put the gang in jail. With the couple only just rekindling their romance, could this new challenge prove too much for them?
"The River Boys' arrival has put strain on their relationship," Eden actor Stephanie Panozzo told TV WEEK. "It will really challenge them to work together in making the relationship a priority while also making room for Cash to stay on top of his job."
Eden interrupts Cash's work day to spend some quality time with him, but is unaware that they are being watched. However, Cash is very conscious of how much danger Eden could be in and tries to keep her at arm's length.
"Initially, Eden doesn't really fathom the extent of danger and threat the River Boys have on Cash, but she quickly learns how serious things are," Panozzo explained.
The River Boys amp up their intimidation by threateningly drive up and down Cash's street. But persistent Eden continues her attempts to connect with Cash, even waiting for him at the police station while he works.
Meanwhile, Cash is pleased with her heartwarming commitment and secretly checks his drawer when he returns home. He pulls out a box with a sparkling engagement ring. But will the imminent danger prevent him from proposing?
