Home and Away's Eliza toys with Alf's life in shocking scenes
She’s determined to see suffering.
Home and Away’s Eliza Sherwood ups the ante next week – she withholds Alf Stewart’s heart medication when he suffers chest pains.
The disturbed teenager's behaviour has been getting increasingly more worrying since she failed to help Harper Matheson when she gave birth.
Eliza's stuck into her chores at the bait shop with Alf, finally doing her bit after Roo Stewart bribed her with cash.
As they work, Alf starts to feel unwell, experiencing excruciating chest pains – but when he asks Eliza to fetch his medication, she hides them, adamantly saying she can't find them.
"Eliza is fascinated with medical suffering, so in her twisted mind, this is an opportunity to see something interesting," says our Home and Away insider.
"Alf's confused when she can’t find the pills, so he asks her to fetch his phone. However, she just looks on in fascination at his pain."
Eliza pretends to search the bait shop for Alf's only lifeline, even dismissing a customer who expresses concern for Alf.
She then tells Alf that his phone battery is dead while he clutches his heart in agony.
Meanwhile, John Palmer and Roo calmly discuss Alf's whereabouts, utterly unaware of what he's going through.
"Roo knows that Eliza is troubled, but she doesn’t realise that she’s this dangerous,” explains our source.
"Luckily, John comes to the rescue – he arrives on the scene and gives Alf his pills – but will it be enough to save him?"
Later, Roo confronts Eliza over the incident – and Eliza coldly cements that if she wanted to hurt Alf, she would have done it better.
Will this be the final straw that results in Eliza being sent back into care?
Home and Away airs these scenes on Thursday 12 June and Friday 13 June on Channel 5.
