Two Home and Away characters arrested as past tragedy resurfaces
An explosive family reunion.
Home and Away's Lacey Miller is arrested next week after a devastating argument with her sister Jo Langham.
As Lacey and Jo come face-to-face again, tensions erupt and their traumatic past becomes clear.
Show bosses have cast Maddison Brown in the role of Jo, who makes her first appearance when Tane Parata crosses paths with her on the road.
Tane is on his way to Yabbie Creek when he spots Maddison stranded as her car has broken down. He steps in to help, but doesn't get the reaction that he'd expected…
Tane offers to help Jo get the car started again, but she points out that he's a stranger and sends him away," our Home and Away source explains. "She finds Tane's persistence to be more irritating than helpful!
"Although Tane respects Jo's decision and heads off, he's shocked when he passes by again on his return trip and spots that she's made no progress."
Jo sends Tane away again, but soon accepts that she's going nowhere fast. Unable to call a mechanic as her phone has no battery, Jo has no option but to head to town on foot.
Once Jo arrives in Summer Bay, her identity is revealed as she has dinner with new cop David. It turns out that she's his other daughter, which also makes her Lacey's sister.
The next morning, Jo and David unite to fix her car but find Tane already hard at work on it. Jo erupts into anger towards Tane for disrespecting her wishes, while David loyally backs his daughter on this one.
Unfortunately, Tane soon becomes the least of Jo's worries when Lacey appears. With old wounds still affecting their lives to this day, Jo and Lacey argue and this quickly escalates into a full-blown fight.
"Cash is forced to step in and bring both sisters down to the police station when he finds them brawling outside the Surf Club," our insider continues.
"It's mortifying for Cash when he realises that he's arrested the two daughters of his boss at work, but David is forced to accept that he was just doing his job."
As tensions continue to unfold, it's revealed that Lacey bitterly blames Jo for the accident that killed their mother.
Jo is distraught by her sister's cruel comments and ends up experiencing a terrible flashback to the day that her mum died. Can this feuding family ever sort things out?
Home and Away airs these scenes on Wednesday 16 July and Thursday 17 July on Channel 5.
