While the inhabitants of Weatherfield celebrated the matriarch's 65th birthday at The Meanderers, watchers learnt of Maggie's troublesome marriage as she battled to keep up control over her family.
The flashbacks uncovered pressure between the life partners, who clashed over how to raise their youthful children, Ben and Finlay. Whereas Maggie showed up to kindly ruin the boys, it afterward got to be clear that she utilized manipulative strategies to pick up their favour.
In the last flashback, Maggie's dim side was uncovered as she and Alan contended around her past undertaking. After heaving insuperable at each other, the mother-of-two pushed her spouse down the stairs, clearing out him for dead.
