Kirby’s album launch is finally here. But as the red carpet rolls out for the singer and her adoring fans, one person is missing: Remi.
In recent episodes of Home And Away, Remi (Adam Rowland) has struggled with the work involved in producing albums for both Kirby and Avalon. So, he turned to Avalon (Gemma Dart), who offered him pills to help “get through”. But this week, the side effects are causing more harm than good – especially when he has Kirby’s recording and he’s nowhere to be found.
“Remi has such a small window of time to finish the album and the only way he thinks he can do that is with stimulants to keep him awake,
Determined for the event to go smoothly, Justin (James Stewart) doesn’t let slip that Remi is missing and ushers in the guest of honour. The turnout is more than they expected thanks to a shout-out from pop sensation Avalon, and Kirby laps it up, posing for the cameras. Meanwhile, Sonny ticks off the guest list, which includes three producers from Melbourne who heard about the launch.
After several calls, Remi finally answers his phone, barely keeping his eyes open after pulling an all-nighter to finish the recording. But he quickly tires of Justin’s demands and hangs up, before collapsing on the bed!
“He sees this as a short-term solution and no-one needs to know,” Adam says of Remi’s desperate choices to pursue his passions. “[He believes] it won’t be a problem.”
In the interim at the dispatch, Remi’s sweetheart, Bree (Juliet Godwin), offers her stresses with Eden (Stephanie Panozzo) and Dana (Partner Harris). Catching their discussion, Justin orders Sonny (Ryan Bown) to discover Remi – now.
Arriing at his house a brief time afterward, Sonny finds his companion smashed out on the bed with an purge sachet of drugs another to him. What has he done?
Also This Week…
Still in recuperation from his near-fatal attack at the hands of the Waterway Boys, Theo is focused on once once more this week. Will he be OK?
Loved-up and looking to move on with their lives, Theo (Matt Evans) tells Lacey (Sophea Pennington) he’s prepared to offer his car and the awful recollections that come with it.
“Theo has certainly been through a parcel with the Waterway Boys and I think it has made him more grounded and as it were set his sentiments for Lacey,” Matt clarifies.
His car ad is quick to attract buyers, with the highest bidder wanting to pay in cash. Lacey is suspicious, but Theo, eager to be rid of debt, makes the deal.
But what seems an easy transaction is anything but when he’s jumped on his way to the bank. With one punch, Theo is knocked out cold and the backpack of cash stolen. Ouch!
