The last scene of Neighbors is right around the corner, but in the midst of the chaos on Ramsay Road, there looks set to be a glint of trust in the final ever storyline.

For the moment time in fair a few a long time, Neighbors is planning to wave farewell as the cherished Australian cleanser has been cancelled by Amazon after the company at first spared it back in 2022.

With another week stamping the last trip for the inhabitants of Ramsay Road, the final storyline is an dangerous one as the exceptionally setting of the cleanser is debilitated with being demolished.

Controversial plans have been uncovered that would include decimating the road in support of a modern freeway.

The inhabitants are dazed and confront a furious battle to spare Ramsay Road, but with the appear set to conclusion after 40 a long time, will the screen blur to dark one final time with them all moving absent?

It looks like there is a glimmer of hope on the horizon, with Neighbours icons Alan Fletcher and Jackie Woodburne shedding some light on what fans can expect from the finale.

The duo have played Karl and Susan Kennedy respectively in the show across the last four decades.

Opening up about the show's ending, Jackie told TV Week: "I think the fans will love the ending because it is about hope.

"Filming those scenes on the street, we were all reminded of the last time we were there. So it was kind of a double-barrelled emotional shotgun that day, because we were remembering the first time we farewelled the show."


Speaking about the soap's first shock cancellation, she continued: "The first breakup is always the hardest – that’s true heartbreak. This time we’ve had a bit of time to get our heads around it.

"But the loss is the same – we’re going to lose this incredible place where people can join the industry."

The actor said they were both "very emotional" saying goodbye to the crew when filming wrapped over the summer.

"We’ve seen people grow up, get married, have children, get divorced, get remarried… We’ve had cast and crew who have passed away," she said.
