Hollyoaks has recast the role of Kathleen-Angel McQueen as part of a new storyline involving the 16-year-old. Naledi Raptou is set to take over the role and has been filming scenes with Jorgie Porter and Danny Mac, who play her on-screen mother Theresa and Theresa's partner Dodger Savage respectively.
The character, who is the daughter of Theresa and Calvin Valentine, was previously played by Kiara Mellor.
The upcoming storyline will see Theresa coming to terms with the realities of raising a teenager when Kathleen-Angel has unprotected sex with her classmate, Ant Hutchinson.
Naledi's first scenes will air on Tuesday, 17 March, with the Significant Other actor sharing her excitement over joining the soap.
"I’m really grateful for the opportunity to join the cast of Hollyoaks. It’s a great place to work and a very nurturing environment to grow," she said in a statement.
"It’s been a pleasure to play Kathleen-Angel as she develops into a young adult. We’re learning new things about her, and I’m excited to be able to present a different side of her."

Elsewhere in the show, Theresa has been supporting Dodger as he comes to terms with his rape ordeal, encouraging him to visit a support group and speak to other survivors.
Dodger was raped by Griff Farnedge – while his colleague Donny Clark suffered a similar attack which was carried out by Sully.
Eventually, Dodger found the courage to discuss his ordeal during a work hearing, but his road to recovery is far from over as he navigates life after the attack.
