 Judge his performance for yourself.

Former Hollyoaks star Owen Warner has landed the lead role in Agatha Christie's Witness for the Prosecution. The actor, who played Romeo Nightingale on the Channel 4 soap, will be making his stage debut in the iconic play.

Warner will be starring as Leonard Vole, a man accused of murdering a wealthy widow to inherit her money. The play will see Leonard have his day in court as he pleads his innocence in the face of some damning testimonies.

"The audience are thrillingly placed in the thick of the action, as Agatha Christie's story of justice, passion and betrayal unfolds around them," reads the description.

The twists and turns of the case are played out in a spectacular courtroom setting, as prosecution battles defence, and witnesses take to the stand to give their shocking testimonies."

Witness for the Prosecution is directed by Lucy Bailey and has been running at London County Hall since 2017, with an ever-changing group of actors bringing the story to life. The show's 15th cast will take to the stage from 17 March.

Warner, who departed Hollyoaks in 2024, will star alongside Eleanor Sutton (Romaine Vole), Simon Cotton (Sir Wilfrid Robarts), Matthew White (Mr Mayhew), Michael Mears (Mr Myers) and David Whitworth (Justice Wainwright).

Meanwhile, Joe Anthony, Kai Antoine, Andrew Bloomer, Martin Edwards, Oliver Hatfield, Tamsin Heatley, Matthew Hebden, Mark Huckett, Ruchi Rai, Vanessa Sampson, Paul Westwood and Meimei Young complete the line-up.

Elsewhere, Warner is set to appear in the upcoming British comedy horror Spider Island. Directed by Christopher Smith, the film will follow a group of social media influencers who become trapped on a tropical island with deadly arachnids.

What was supposed to be a dream holiday turns into a living nightmare as the online stars struggle to stay alive. But who will live to livestream the tale?
