Who begins a secret relationship?
EastEnders’ Cindy Beale and Max Branning officially turn from enemies to lovers next week, as they secretly pursue their sizzling romance. Having shared a hot date together, Max and Cindy decide it’s best to keep their relationship behind closed doors for now.
However, when Lauren comes close to rumbling her dad, he and Cindy promise each other that they will confess all to their loved ones when the time is right…
"It all starts with Cindy finally accepting Max’s request to go on a date, then before you know it, they’re talking about going public with their feelings. It’s a big step for both Max and Cindy, who are hardly hopeless romantics. There must be something in the water – or wine – at Knight Fusion…"
To begin with, Cindy intends to stand Max up, but that all changes when she spots the salesman chatting with Linda. Feeling jealous, Cindy goes back on her plan and struts off to meet up with Max.
Cindy is irked by the sight of Max and Linda," shares our insider. "It gets under her skin that they have chemistry, which goes to show just how much Cindy fancies Max. The feeling is mutual on Max’s part, so just sit back and watch the sparks fly!"
Seeing no other option, Cindy and Max vow to come clean about their relationship down the line. But how will Lauren and Peter react to their parents dating each other?
"Surely it’s not going to go down well," says our source. "Both Lauren and Peter have had enough trouble from their respective parents to last a lifetime – they’re not going to want a bar of this.
Will Cindy and Max’s romance stand the test of time? And if so, what will the rest of Walford have to say?
