Will an ongoing feud end in disaster?

Coronation Street star Beth Nixon has named Maggie Driscoll as the most dangerous suspect in the line-up for Megan Walsh's potential death. Beth's character Megan is one of five characters who could be killed off this week – and her story will be showcased in a big episode on Thursday night (30 April).

The next visit to Weatherfield sees Megan face a series of showdowns, as she remains a hate figure on the cobbles following her grooming of teenage boy Will Driscoll.

Unsurprisingly, it's Will's grandmother Maggie who might be willing to push things too far – after all, she has killed before…

Speaking about the storyline, Beth laughed: "I'm scared of Maggie myself! Out of all the characters, I think Maggie is probably the one that Megan would be most scared of.

She ends up getting a few secrets of Maggie's. Megan knows what she's capable of, so Maggie does get to her a little bit. But I think Megan has such a high opinion of herself that she just thinks that she can outsmart Maggie.

If anything, even if she goes head-to-head with her, then that makes Maggie look bad as well. She'd just use that again as ammunition. But I think she probably is a little bit scared – quaking in her boots a little bit."

Thursday's episode also sees Eva Price, Leanne Battersby and Toyah Battersby team up to force a confession out of Megan. But when they frogmarch her into the salon flat and things turn violent, are the trio out of their depth?

Beth continued: "They're not natural kidnappers – they don't know what they're doing. They're like: 'Don't get blood on me!' Eva's in her pink clothes and her heels, dragging her down the street, clippy clopping her heels. She just thinks: 'What are you going to do, seriously?'

"Then Toyah hits her, but Megan goes: 'Right, I've got you now. You've assaulted me. I haven't touched you'. Because she's clever – she doesn't attack anyone. She just lets them do it to her. She winds them up because then she can use that as ammunition."

Of course, there's also a chance that Megan may survive the week, since Maggie, Carl Webster, Jodie Ramsey and Theo Silverton are also in the firing line. With so many twists and turns ahead, anything is possible.

Asked about being involved in the big murder mystery week, Beth replied: "It's crazy. This is my first TV job, so this is all completely new to me. When I watched the promo trailer for the week, it looks like I'm in a movie!

"It's just amazing – I've had so much fun with it. It's honestly one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had."
