He's not reacting well after everything that has happened to him.
After the last few months have seen him framed, go on the run, returning only to be sent to prison and suffering a near-fatal accident, Tane Parata is now set to evaluate his life and make another drastic decision.
In scenes airing this week, Tane will tell girlfriend Jo Langham that he wants to end their relationship.
Speaking to Australia's TV Week, Jo actor Maddison Brown said: "Jo is honest with Tane about how she is feeling, and it comes from a place of trying to be real rather than pretending everything is fine. But Tane takes that honesty as rejection.
Jo is trying to hold space for something quite complex, whereas Tane sees it in a much more all or nothing way, and unfortunately that leads him to push her away instead of working through it with her."
She continued: "Tane cannot move past Jo's moment of doubt. He has been through something incredibly traumatic and is in a place where he needs unwavering support, so when Jo for the first time in all this has a very human moment, he takes it quite personally."
Mackenzie Booth decides to stick her foot in and tell Tane he's being an idiot, but Levi Fowler tells her to stop as she's embarrassing him at his place of work.
Jo isn't the only person Tane wants to push away, as he denies Mali Hudson and John Palmer's request to re-open the gym.
Will anyone be able to get through to him?
