Who is the victim?
Hollyoaks has aired a deadly cliffhanger as one character is the victim of a shocking shooting. As the soap leaves their fate up in the air, have they just been killed - and who fired the potentially fatal bullet?
In recent weeks, Ste and Rex’s marriage has been hanging by a thread, after Ste discovered that Rex had lied about being attacked for wearing feminine clothes and had posed as his own online trolls.
Leela has been encouraging her brother to sort things out, so this week, Ste took her advice and agreed to meet Rex at his flat to talk properly. Rex put on a suit and prepared a nice dinner, determined to save his marriage.
Ste was unsure, though, with the pair having a frank conversation. He admitted that while he wanted Rex to express himself however he wished, he didn't find the feminine clothes attractive.
When Ste reckoned that they weren’t compatible anymore, Rex exploded with rage and knocked everything off the kitchen table. Ste then decided to join him in smashing up the flat, making Rex laugh.
Meanwhile, newcomer Abigail was looking for a place to live in the village, and Leela suggested checking out Rex’s flat - hoping that this might encourage Ste and Rex to sort things out properly.
Rex was then called away to work on an emergency callout, with Ste encouraging him to go. Things were still tense, and Rex told his husband to make up his mind about their relationship by the time he got back.
But when Rex arrived at the garage, he was shocked to come face to face with a mysterious stranger who aimed a gun at him - and pulled the trigger. With a shot being fired, has Rex been taken out, and by who?
