Hollyoaks star teases SECOND big secret being kept by Cindy Cunningham

 Cindy's connection to Beth isn't her only secret.

Stephanie Waring has made her big return to Hollyoaks as Cindy Cunningham, just over two years after the character was axed. Cindy made a surprise return on last Wednesday's episode (15 July) where it was revealed she's already familiar with newcomer Beth Keane.

Cindy is Beth's aunt and the pair came face to face in a nightclub last week, with Beth looking as if she'd seen a ghost. With Cindy's arrival coming just as Beth is being blackmailed by a mystery person, fans are eager to know what shared history the characters have.

Now, speaking to The Sun, Steph has revealed that she hiding more than just her past with Beth. "She has a lot of secrets, and there’s about a couple of big storylines coming up," the actress revealed.

One the viewers will see as soon as she comes back, and she is holding a few things back. She has history with Beth, her niece, played by Rebecca Ryan. That will all be unfolding over the six weeks of summer.

And then, yeah, there’s something else that I think the fans will be really shocked and surprised by, which I’m so excited to be revealed."

“It’s not related to what she’s been up to," she added. "It’s not related to anything that the audience will be seeing on screen now. So, there are secrets, and it’s amazing. It’s all cloak and dagger at the minute."

Rebecca Ryan, who plays Beth, previously teased what her storyline with Cindy will involve, telling Inside Soap: "They're aunt and niece but then it's going to turn out that they were friends before Beth came to Hollyoaks.

"They've had their own path together and then they've not seen each other for a while. Things could get explosive there because they're both not wallflowers. They're both quite feisty – no one wants to back down!"
