Hollyoaks teases Imran's huge secret ahead of wedding drama

Hollyoaks has fuelled speculation about what Imran Maalik is hiding from his loved ones – and it could be bad news for his fiancée Leah Barnes.

Imran and Leah have painted themselves as the perfect couple since returning to the village, but cracks are starting to show beneath their public displays of affection.

In Tuesday's episode, Imran and Leah invited the villagers to join them for a no-expense-spared housewarming party on the new boat.

Imran took centre stage to deliver a speech, lavishing Leah with praise.

However, when Imran attempted to describe Leah as the love of his life, he hesitated and stumbled over his words.

The embarrassing moment didn't go unnoticed by Leah – or Imran's mum Misbah, who sensed that her son isn't his usual self. Is Imran really as committed to Leah as he's making out?

Imran and the other young characters all recently confessed their biggest secrets on camera in a video project organised by Leah.

Leah betrayed everyone's trust by watching back the videos but avoided looking at Imran's, mistakenly believing that she already knows everything about him…

Ijaz told us: "Imran definitely has his secret, which hasn't been revealed yet. It just builds even more suspense for what was said. I wish I could tell you what was said!

"It's interesting because it left something for the audience to speculate about after the episode, rather than all of the characters saying their secrets on screen.

Misbah is also curious about what's going on. Imran spent so much time away from her and she's naturally worried about her son, but also about how Leah treats Imran. She's worried about how their relationship will play out and how that's going to affect Imran.

"Imran does appreciate that somebody is looking out for him. It's a rocky road with Leah, so it's nice that Misbah is worried about him."

Hollyoaks' recent summer trailer signposted Imran and Leah's wedding as a big story for the coming weeks, so there's bound to be more drama ahead…
