Melissa George secretly welcomes fourth child at age 49 as she shares breastfeeding photo from French Riviera holiday

 Melissa George has secretly welcomed her fourth child. 

The Home and Away actress, 49, took to Instagram on Sunday revealing the surprise news in a joint post with former Vogue Australia editor-in-chief Kirstie Clements.

The baby's name is not yet known, nor is the identity of the father. 

In the first photo, Melissa was seen breastfeeding her newborn son, while other photos featured snippets from their French Riviera travels.

The caption, written by Kirstie, explained that Melissa was currently on a road trip.

'@melissageorgeofficial From the maternity ward, straight into a Parisian heatwave (with a toddler…challenging) and now to an epic road trip through Provence and the Côte d’Azur, first stop @hotelcrillonlebrave,' she wrote, along with the captions, '#superwoman #motheroffoursons! #roadtrip #provence.'

The Mulholland Drive star's update was met with an outpouring of congratulations and well wishes.

'Beautiful mother of 4,' photographer Julia Kovaljova wrote.

'Congratulations Melissa!' one fan added.

'Melissa!!! 4? Brava!!!! Tell me everything!' said another.

'She makes it look effortless,' a follower commented. 

Melissa's baby announcement comes more than two years after she welcomed her third son, Lyor, at age 47.

The Perth-born star shocked her social media followers in January 2024 when she confirmed she was pregnant with her third child.

Two months later, she took to Instagram to reveal she had delivered a baby boy and posted a black and white photo of the new arrival's feet.

The caption, written by Kirstie, explained that Melissa was currently on a road trip 

Other photos featured snippets from their French Riviera travels, including a few snaps of her third son...

Welcome to the world my little man,' the 30 Days of Night actress wrote at the time.

'Love knows no end. A mother of 3 sons. Cannot believe it. My heart is so full.'

However, the Perth-born star did not reveal the baby's name until much later. 

Melissa shares her sons, Raphaël, 12, and Solal, 11, with her ex-partner Jean-David Blanc, a French entrepreneur.

Due to a custody arrangement, their children can't leave France with their mother without their father's consent, which means she is now based in Paris.

Notoriously private Melissa hasn't revealed if she is in a relationship or who the father of her two youngest sons are.

She was previously married to Chilean furniture designer and film director Claudio Dabed from 2000 to 2011.
