Zoe's final scenes are approaching.
EastEnders’ kicked off Zoe Slater's tragic death plot tonight, as she suffered an injury to her head. Spoilers for the days ahead have already revealed that Zoe's mum Kat will find her daughter dead in bed in upcoming scenes that will lead to heartbreak for the Slater family.
Yesterday's episode saw Zoe and Kat spend some quality time alone together in the Queen Vic, with Zoe revealing that she'd found a man selling Charlie's old taxi cab.
But while Kat and Zoe were distracted, Tommy snuck out of the house after downing half a bottle of vodka. When Kat went upstairs to tell him they were popping out, she discovered he was gone and found the half-drank vodka bottle.
Outside, Zoe got in a cab to go meet the car dealer, while Kat frantically looked for Tommy around the Square. She eventually found him drunkenly getting on the tube where he confessed that he'd seen Joel.
Tommy told Kat that he was no better than Joel, and the family would be better off without him. But Kat assured him that wasn't true and that she knew he had a good heart and was nothing like Joel.
Meanwhile, Zoe went and saw Charlie's old cab and found his taxi keychain still in it. Zoe told the seller that Kat was bringing the money over but when she tried to call her she got no answer.
When the seller's scary looking business partner arrived, Zoe turned and ran but ended up tripping and landing on a pile of concrete blocks and hitting her head.
Although she was bleeding, Zoe then got up and ran into the cab, driving off while the men shouted at her to come back.
Michelle Ryan, who plays Zoe, recently opened up about the decision to kill off Zoe rather than let her simply leave Walford.
"Because for her to run away again would have gone against everything she'd fought for, for her children. So, as sad as it was to hear that Zoe was going to be killed off, I was like, 'I completely understand that.'"
