Hollyoaks teases the end for villain Gemma in huge police chase scenes

 Hollyoaks villain Gemma Johnson could finally face consequences for her illegal actions next week, as the police – including her dad, Donny – send out a warrant for her arrest. But will she be caught, and is the game over?

Viewers know that Gemma is running the criminal empire that used to belong to Froggy and is at the centre of a string of illegal activity involving crypto wallets.

To try and win back her ex, Warren, Gemma recently put out a hit on Mercedes as she sent her off on a spa break alongside Ste and Leela. But it seems that one of her associates has taken Ste instead – and she faced questions from Jenson when he realised this.

In scenes that will air soon, Mercedes figures out that Jenson knows something about Ste’s disappearance and he comes clean about what he knows, which likely involves Gemma.

By next week, the hospital is buzzing with gossip about Gemma. While Misbah suggests that she calls in sick, Gemma is determined not to let Mercedes affect her life.

But Mercedes is not done yet, as she tells Dodger that she has new evidence against Gemma and spills what she knows about her and Jenson’s recent crimes.

Dodger confronts Jenson in light of Mercedes’ evidence, so Jenson chooses to disclose that he is an undercover police officer. He also explains that he has crucial evidence about Ste’s disappearance, but it remains to be seen whether Dodger believes him.

Later, Dodger approaches Warren to get some more answers – but Warren misunderstands Dodger’s questioning and ends up confessing that he and Gemma slept together recently!

As the week continues, Mercedes heads over to see Gemma when she realises that her nemesis hasn’t been arrested yet.

Dodger’s investigation continues, however, as he furtively tells Donny that he believes Gemma is involved with whatever has happened to Ste.

Later, Jenson plays Mercedes some voicemails he saved where Gemma confesses to the crimes involving crypto wallets.

Mercedes immediately takes this crucial new evidence to the station and shows the recordings to Dodger and Donny. Although it’s tough for Donny to accept the truth about his daughter, they agree that they need to bring Gemma in.

Meanwhile, Gemma is supported by Misbah through this challenging week and eventually decides to ignore the rumours and return to work – but just after she leaves the house, the police arrive with an arrest warrant.

Donny and Dodger close in on Gemma at the hospital, and a tense chase ensues. Is this finally the end for Gemma?
