Home and Away's Richie to face showdown after returning to Summer Bay..

 Not exactly a warm welcome.

Home and Away's Richie Brezniak returned to Summer Bay last week, as he tried to patch things up with Abigail Fowler. But while Abigail was pleased to see him again, not everyone is willing to welcome Ritchie back.

Richie left the Bay over two months ago after accidentally shooting his boss Sergeant David Langham while trying to reprimand a robber. The young police officer was fired from the force and broke up with Abigail before leaving.

Last week saw Richie back on our screens as he tried to make amends with his ex-girlfriend. But while Abigail considers reconciling with Richie, one local resident makes their feelings clear.

According to TV Week, upcoming episodes will see Abigail struggling to make a decision about her future with Richie. After their abrupt break-up, Abigail is unsure if she can trust him again.

Despite the heartbreak, she admits she still has feelings for him and he assures her he won't be doing another disappearing act. But their conversation is overheard by David's daughter Lacey who is furious to see Richie back.

Lacey is clearly not in a forgiving mood and orders Richie to leave town, but he holds his own against her fury. Richie apologises for injuring her dad but tells her he isn't going anywhere.

The declaration is enough to convince Abigail of his commitment, and the pair share a kiss as they decide to wipe the slate clean. When Richie bumps into David later, he realises a fresh start with the sergeant won't be as easy.

With David still recovering from the traumatic incident, Richie's return is the last thing he needs. When he sees the youngster back in the Bay, David becomes triggered and lashes out.

Will David be willing to hear Richie out, or will he try to drive him away?
