Sam Frost has revealed she once went to therapy over fears she was struggling with her mental health.
The reality TV star, 37, made the surprising admission on the latest episode of her Cracking On podcast, revealing the fears came due to being 'gaslit' while in an abusive relationship.
'I was dealing with someone who was gaslighting me constantly! Treating me poorly, being manipulative and abusive,' Sam began.
She said that her partner at the time played constant mind games with her, which left her questioning her own sanity.
'And then they will be like, "But I love you, and you are lucky to have me." I got that a lot when I was in that situation. They were like, "You are lucky to have me, because no one else would deal with your s**t". I was like, "Am I crazy?".'
The former Home and Away actress said she even went to a psychologist for help, with the mental health practitioner reassuring her that the problem was not with her.

'I realised I was in an abusive relationship because I went to a psychologist and said to her, still in my daze, "I am trying to fix my relationship and I think I am crazy"
'I need to fix my relationship. She said, "Oh honey, you are in an abusive relationship."
'I said no, she just thought that because I was telling her all the bad things, and she said, "No, I am trained in this."
Sam said the experience taught her to recognise different forms of abuse, as she previously thought it was only physical.
'Because they didn't hit me, I thought that was the line. I thought because he didn't hit me, it can't be that abusive. Yes, it can!' she said.
'When you are in an emotionally abusive relationship, it is hard because they are manipulating you. They know your vulnerabilities and weaknesses.'
The Melbourne-born podcaster has long been open about her personal struggles, and in April 2024 she opened up about her turbulent journey through fame, heartbreak, and personal struggle.
Speaking to the Life Uncut podcast, Sam delved into her experiences with depression and anxiety, revealing the profound impact of her television stint and the transformative power of motherhood.

Sam, whose stint on The Bachelor left her feeling 'humiliated and manipulated,' shared distressing details about the aftermath of the show.
'I felt humiliated after The Bachelor,' she confessed. 'I had really genuine intentions, someone's manipulated that. At the time, you think everyone's got your best interests, producers have your best interests, then you realise afterwards, oh, they played me.'
'I've grown up struggling with depression and anxiety, it was conversations that weren't being had when I was a teenager,' she explained. 'I genuinely thought something was wrong with my brain. I hated everything about who I was.'
Despite these hardships, her tone shifted as she spoke about the transformative impact of becoming a mother to son Theodore with beau Jordie Hansen.
