Hollyoaks has revealed danger for three iconic characters in an upcoming road trip that takes a sinister turn. As Mercedes McQueen, Ste Hay and Leela Lomax prepare to take a trip, they are unaware that someone has been plotting behind the scenes.

Viewers know that Ste is searching for the truth about what happened to his late husband Rex. This week, he suspects that his ex James paid a man called Martin to kill Rex, and he is determined to get answers. Meanwhile, Gemma recently told Jenson, who we’ve just learned is an undercover police officer, to get rid of Mercedes because she wants to win Warren back.

In scenes set to air next week, it seems Gemma will take matters into her own hands as her plan to win Warren over unfolds. As a pent-up Ste attempts to steer Jonah away from his new friend James, Jonah offers Ste a drink to take the edge off, unaware that he is sober.

Ste relapses and publicly confronts James at Casa McQueen, accusing his ex-husband of killing Rex. Warren tries to defuse the situation after Cindy adds more fuel to the fire.

James looks after a drunken Ste, though it remains unclear whether he is being protective or possessive.

Leah is worried when she realises Ste didn’t return home last night. She finds Ste, grief-stricken and hungover, still determined to uncover the truth about what happened to Rex.

Gemma gives Mercedes a spa day voucher for the next day, and Mercedes invites Leela and Ste, hoping it will distract Ste from his grief.

Gemma waves off the spa-goers Mercedes, Leela and Ste as her sinister plan becomes clear – to get rid of Mercedes for good.

Gemma is seen sending her men to follow the car as she enjoys some alone time with Warren.

En route to the spa, Ste forces them to stop at a service station for a bathroom break as the men tasked with kidnapping Mercedes watch on.

In the parked car, Leela and Mercedes talk about relationships, family woes and village gossip, unaware of the danger parked nearby.

EastEnders confirms Ravi drama as he closes in on Max and Priya secret

 He correctly suspects Priya's secret lover…

EastEnders fans will see Ravi Gulati finally join the dots next week, as he begins to suspect that Max Branning is the mystery man that his fiancée Priya Nandra-Hart has been sleeping with.

Although Priya has finally accepted Ravi's proposal – after encouragement from Max, of all people – she's still very keen to keep this huge relationship update on the down-low.

At the start of next week, Ravi pushes Priya to announce their engagement to Avani and Nugget, but she's still not convinced.

Matters become more complicated when Priya catches Nugget dealing weed again. She's furious that her teenage son is still involved with drugs, especially after the earful she gave him recently. As Priya scolds Nugget, it's Max who intervenes and offers his support.

Despite Max looming large, Priya is impressed with how far Ravi has come since his recent return to the Square, so she finally decides it's time to tell the kids that they're engaged.

Ravi can't wait to shout about their romantic reunion, but he's determined to tie up all loose ends, so he quizzes Priya again about the man she was seeing recently. Priya remains tight-lipped, but Ravi soon gets a big clue…

"Max walks Priya home after work, and the pair share a moment before they say goodnight," explains our spy.

The affair might be over but there are still sparks between them – sparks which Ravi witnesses from a distance! Is this the moment the penny finally drops?"

As the week continues, a suspicious Ravi keeps his eye on Max and comes up with a way to confirm what he already believes – that Max is the man he's been searching for.

Will Max twig that he needs to watch his back where Ravi is concerned?

Ravi moves quickly, so he isn't likely to play the long game in this particular situation," warns our source. "He wants answers as soon as possible so that he can focus on moving on with Priya.

"Ravi's discovery coincides with plans for Max's stag party – and the Walford men are left impatiently waiting for the groom to arrive for the celebrations at the club. Meanwhile, Max has to talk his way out of a situation – is this connected to Ravi?"

EastEnders airs harrowing Denise Fox episode with final twist in iPlayer release

EastEnders airs another worrying development for Denise Fox tonight, as her condition takes a dark turn. Her family frantically search for a stem cell donor – but will they get the news they're hoping for?

The episode begins with Amy Mitchell and Yolande Trueman handing out flyers to the local community, hoping they can find a stem cell match for Denise.

Meanwhile, at the hospital, Jack Branning tries to keep Denise's spirits high, despite her obviously worsening condition. But when the latter starts coughing up blood, the doctor informs her that her chest infection has developed into sepsis and she needs to be put on a ventilator.

So you will have a tube going down into your trachea and that means that we need to put you into a medically induced coma," the doctor explains.

Terrified at the possibility she might not wake up again, Denise begins to panic. Jack relays the news to the rest of the family, but Denise says she doesn't want them to see her so ill and scared.

Back on the Square, Kim Fox finds an email from the ancestry website, which had gone to the junk folder weeks ago. It reveals that they found Denise a 25% DNA match, suggesting a man named Darnell could be her half-sibling.

"This could save her! This could actually save her," Kim rejoices, before learning that Darnell's account on the website has been deactivated.

As Kim gives up all hope, Patrick has an idea to find Denise's father in a box of old family photos. Despite it being a long shot, they manage to find out Darnell's full name – giving them a good chance of locating him.

When Jack returns home, Kim excitedly runs out to share the good news: "Darnell Larson Jr! He's a potential stem cell match. Dee's got a brother! She's got a brother!"

Home and Away's Rhiannon Fish recalls "very hurtful" career setbacks after soap exit

 "I stepped back from the industry."

Home and Away's Rhiannon Fish has recalled some "very hurtful" career setbacks, following her exit from the soap. The actor played April Scott for three years, before leaving in 2013 to pursue opportunities in Hollywood.

Believing she could achieve bigger success in the US, Fish left her home in Australia to move halfway across the world.

"There was no debate, that's what you had to do," she told nine.com.au. "So I did, and then was immediately very, very lonely."

The star soon realised how difficult the lifestyle was and decided she wasn't happy. She shared that her confidence was knocked with every rejection, forcing her to reassess her next move.

"The grind of auditioning and being told 'no', sometimes up to three, four times a day, and 'no' for reasons that can be very hurtful, it knocked me down.

She continued: "And I then, quote-unquote, 'Took a break.' It's not like I was offered anything, so I wasn’t taking a break from anything, but I did.

"I stepped back from the industry, I told my managers at the time, 'I need to heal some stuff in myself, I think.'"

Fish then moved to Canada, where she was born and had the support of extended family who lived there.

She successfully auditioned for a "very, very small part" in a 2020 Hallmark movie, and has since starred in up to six TV films a year for the channel.

"I really, finally, for the first time in a long time feel like I've found my stride and that I'm in a pocket that feels really good both to me personally and professionally," she shared.

Cleo and Dodger have been sneaking around behind Theresa's back in recent weeks, creating a ticking timebomb which threatens to tear the McQueen family apart.

We caught up with Nadine while she took part in a big photoshoot to celebrate Hollyoaks' nominations at the Inside Soap Awards 2026.

Nadine is up for the Best Actress prize, as well as Best Storyline for Cleo's postpartum psychosis.

Hi, Nadine! How does it feel to be up for Best Actress and Best Storyline at the Inside Soap Awards 2026?

"I am thrilled and honoured – I was very happy when I heard. It's amazing to be nominated.

"Cleo's postpartum psychosis is the story that I'm most proud of from the past year and the fans gave it a really positive reaction. I received so many comments, and the charity that we were working with were really happy with the awareness that we raised."

Why should fans vote for Hollyoaks as Best Soap this year?

"We've had plane crashes, affairs, murders, endless drama always! We still also love to make you guys laugh and we like to tackle the big issue-led storylines head-on. And we also brought Brookside back – talk about nostalgia!"

What's coming up next for Cleo?

"It's all to do with Theresa and Dodger, although I haven't filmed the reveal yet of Theresa finding out about Cleo and Dodger's affair. I'm anxiously waiting for that script!

"I just can't wait to see how Theresa reacts. Honestly, I'm like: 'Are my days numbered here?' I think she might try and kill me!"

"I wasn't surprised, to be honest, because their chemistry had been going on for a long time – ever since Dodger saved Cleo in the plane crash. It was kind of obvious it was going to happen.

"It was on the backburner but there were little feelings there, they had a little kiss and then Dodger got with Theresa. We had the 'will they / won't they' dynamic and in the end they've just given in to their desires, naughty people!"

Do you worry about getting a storyline where your character may be disliked by the audience for a while?

"No, I think we shouldn't worry about that – if anything, it's quite freeing when your character gets to make a really bad decision! It's something I'd never do in my own personal life, so getting to act that out is fun to explore.

"Cleo does make bad decisions, but I like it! The more bonkers the storyline – like being locked in a cupboard for a year – the more I thrive and I enjoy it. I'd much rather that than crying all the time!"

Do you think Cleo feels any guilt about the affair?

"I do think she feels some guilt. I think all Cleo really wants is to be loved. She needs some therapy – I've seen that a lot in the comments, people saying: 'Cleo in therapy, please!'

"If I had to pick anything for Cleo, she really needs to work on her self-worth and stop seeking validation from men and hopping from relationship to relationship.

"I think she does really love Dodger, it's just so unfortunate that he's got a child and is in a relationship with her cousin. It's really bad and I don't know how the McQueens are going to react. They might not stand by Cleo. They might have just had enough of her nonsense – and I almost don't blame them, to be honest!"

They've all had affairs themselves, though…

"Exactly – pot kettle, Mercedes!

Do you reckon it'll be even more explosive when Sienna returns?

"I quite often have a little daydream and wonder what the writers are going to do next. I wouldn't be surprised if Sienna is somehow involved in the unravelling of Cleo and Dodger, because at the end of the day, she's not very happy that we shopped her into the police.

"Sienna does not forget, so if she was out for revenge against anyone, it'd probably be Cleo and Dodger. She had her suspicions about Cleo and Dodger the whole time, so she'll have been proven right if she finds out about their relationship.

"She's not going to be happy. Maybe she tells Theresa, who knows?"

Who do you think Cleo is best suited to?

"I think Cleo needs to be on her own, so that's number one! But if she had to pick a partner, I think it'd be Joel. I think he is her soulmate. But maybe I'm biased – do you think that might be connected to Rory? Maybe!"

Dana gives Sonny one last chance

Dana and Sonny's relationship is in crisis after he confessed to dealing drugs for Beau. Sonny begs for forgiveness, but the betrayal runs too deep for Dana.

Running into Remi, Dana apologises for not believing him sooner. In turn, he persuades her not to give up on Sonny.

Dana agrees to give Sonny one last chance, as Remi and Eden both pledge to support his recovery.

Beau is under arrest

Over at the police station, Beau is still protesting his innocence and claiming he has an alibi in Harper.

Cash finds Harper preparing to flee the Bay. Seeing the bruises on her body, Cash tells Harper that if she makes a statement, they can put Beau away for a long time.

Later, Beau is placed under arrest as Tane consoles a distraught Harper and promises to look after her.

David and Amelia are on the same page

David decides to seize the day after learning that Amelia is sticking around in Summer Bay.

He organises a barbecue and invites Amelia to come along, but when she arrives, David is too nervous to talk to her.

With a gentle nudge from Jo and Lacey, David and Amelia finally get chatting and discover they feel the same way.

 Zane moves in with Alf and Marilyn

Mali catches Zane scavenging for food in a dumpster. Startled, he jumps out of the dumpster and ends up cutting himself.

Levi offers to stitch Zane's injured hand, but it's clear that his own injury is preventing him from doing the job, so Amelia steps in.

Meanwhile, Marilyn rushes to Zane's side and convinces him to come home with her to be looked after.

Mac fears for Levi

A miserable Levi tells Mackenzie that his hand surgery has been scheduled to take place in three weeks' time.

Abigail tries to lift her brother's spirits with cocktail tasting at Salt, but Levi feels he's no use to anyone.

Mac fears for her boyfriend's future as she wonders what will happen if he can't work again.

 Jo supports Levi

Jo hears that Levi is trying to fast-track his operation to increase his chances of being able to carry on performing surgery.

Levi is short with Jo, but she helps him see sense and understand he's got to be the patient for once.

 Is Eden pregnant?

Eden has been suffering from dizzy spells, and Abigail fears there could be something bigger going on.

As the sisters arrive home, Cash updates them on the situation with Beau and Harper, but an exhausted Eden has to head to bed.

Abigail jumps to the conclusion that Eden is pregnant and convinces her to do a test. It comes back negative, which is a huge relief for Eden.

Eden's health takes a turn for the worse

Eden keeps brushing off her symptoms as tiredness but ends up fainting into Cash's arms.

Mac rings for an ambulance and a barely conscious Eden is rushed to Northern Districts.

When Abigail tells Amelia about Eden's recent health struggles, Cash is frustrated that his wife failed to mention anything to him.

Marilyn and Leah make up

Alf agrees to give Zane a fair go and signs off the paperwork for him to stay.

But when John discovers Marilyn fell out with Leah over her prison pen pal, he advises her to be very careful over who she trusts.

Zane and Leah make amends and work together to get Marilyn to take her job back at the Diner. Marilyn agrees on one condition: Leah hires Zane, too.

 Eden receives her diagnosis

Eden is diagnosed with an abnormal heartbeat, and Cash's mind starts to spiral when he sees her back is covered in large bruises.

Amelia swiftly arranges a bone marrow biopsy, which detects that Eden has aplastic anaemia.

Although there are treatments available to alleviate the symptoms, Amelia has to warn Cash that the condition can be fatal.

 Zane feels uncomfortable around Alf

Zane impresses Marilyn and Leah with his skills at the Diner, and the pair help him set up a bank account and email address.

Back at home, Zane feels bad when Alf excuses himself to bed straight after dinner.

Marilyn insists everything is fine and Alf is happy to have him there, but Zane wonders if he's already outstayed his welcome.
