Hollyoaks couple Yazz and Tom reach crossroads over adoption idea

 Is this just a bump in the road for the two?

Hollyoaks couple Tom and Yazz Cunningham hit a crossroads in Wednesday's (June 14) first-look episode.

The couple have been trying to work through their tragic loss, with Tom floating the idea of them adopting a child together.

Yazz has been unwilling to talk about it, stating that she feels so uncomfortable about the whole thing and can't even sleep.

The two later sat down with Maxine Minniver at the park, who offered them some advice.

"After my miscarriage, I held a little ceremony," she said. "It was nothing special, it was just me and I was burying the things that I had bought, but I gave me the chance to say goodbye... Maybe when you're ready, you can try again."

Yazz admitted that she can't have any kids, before tearfully asking Tom if they could go home for her to rest.

Back at home, Yazz worried she might lose Tom over the fact she can't conceive and that they have differing opinions on the thought of adoption, with her admitting she doesn't think she'd be able to take in someone else's child.

Tom reassured her that him leaving her was "never gonna happen". However, in secret, he opened up a text from the adoption agency, and quickly deleted it before Yazz could see as she told him that she wasn't keen on having kids in the first place.

Meanwhile, Zoe Anderson has been on the fence on whether she wants to keep the baby she's carrying, not wanting to risk her career and not even being sure that she wants Sam Chen-Williams' baby specifically. Eventually, she told Maxine that she was going through with a termination.

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4, with new episodes dropping each weekday morning. The show airs Mondays to Fridays at 6.30pm on Channel 4, and at 7pm on E4.
