Home and Away's Cash Newman makes a new enemy in Harper and Dana story

 DS Madden poses a threat.

Home and Away's Cash Newman makes a new enemy on UK screens next week as he tries his best to help Harper and Dana Matheson.

Cash is left suspicious after coming face-to-face with DS Madden, the detective who's pursuing a case against Harper's missing sister.

Dana is currently on the run from the police after her boyfriend ruthlessly framed her for drugs charges. Harper wants Cash to help clear Dana's name, adamant that her sibling is innocent.

In next week's episodes on Channel 5, Cash starts asking some awkward questions about Dana's case and Madden comes to visit him at the Yabbie Creek police station to discuss it.

Cash points out that there are various holes in the case against Dana, but Madden explains away his concerns.

Madden also turns the tables by questioning why Cash is so interested in an investigation that he wasn't assigned to.

Once alone, Madden makes a phone call to an unknown contact, demanding all of the information they have on Cash.

Later that day, Cash pays a visit to Harper at Irene Roberts' home and is horrified to discover that she's helping Dana to hide out at the property.

Cash points out that Harper and Dana have compromised both him and Irene with their reckless actions. With a warrant out for Dana's arrest, Cash insists on bringing her down to the police station to face the music.

While they're in the car together, Dana continues to protest her innocence and Cash realises that she's telling the truth.

As Madden's defensive attitude has also raised red flags for Cash, he decides to let Dana return to Irene's house and he'll pretend that he didn't see her. But with a potentially corrupt and dangerous colleague keeping an eye on him, will Cash live to regret this choice?
