Hollyoaks brings back missing character in major streaming release twist

 A familiar face returns.

Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Wednesday's episode (30 April), which is available to watch now on streaming service Channel 4 and hasn't yet aired on TV.

Hollyoaks has shocked fans by bringing back a missing character, as the dramatic exploitation storyline takes another sinister turn.

With Donny Clark discovering the truth about Alistair Banks' involvement in the illegal operation, he confronted his colleague.

But during a tense showdown in The Dog car park, Alistair pushed Donny in front of Sienna's car, and he was rushed to hospital.

Misbah Maalik waited by Donny's bedside in today's episode as he slipped in and out of consciousness, but she grew suspicious when she spotted scratches on her fiancé's neck.

She told curious Alistair that Donny was going to make a full recovery, but she was frustrated that she couldn't get hold of his daughter Vicky Grant.

Misbah explained that Donny's injuries don't add up, and while Alistair tried to convince her that she was looking too hard for answers, she was sure that the truth would come out when Donny woke up.

Later, exhausted Donny received a visit from a hooded figure, and he was relieved to see Vicky – who hasn't been seen on screen since Grace bundled her into a van back in February.

Vicky sat with her dad for a while and revealed that she wanted to come back to the village, but she had been made to do things against her will.

She made a sudden exit from the hospital, and as she tried to leave, she was caught by Alistair, who pushed her into a vehicle – having used her to show Donny she was still alive.

Alistair took Vicky to an abandoned house while she pleaded with him to let her go. Robbie Roscoe, who has been held captive for months, heard Vicky's screams from a nearby room and desperately tried and failed to reach his former fiancée.

Returning to Donny's bedside, Alistair asked Misbah if he was able to hear what was being said in his semi-conscious state.

Once alone, Alistair issued a chilling threat to Donny about Vicky, in his latest attempt to keep his illegal operation under wraps.

"If you open your mouth about what you know about me," he said, "I'll make you that's the last time you ever hear her voice."

Will Donny now stay quiet about corrupt Alistair?
