Hollyoaks reveals dramatic ending to exploitation plot – with five characters at risk

Hollyoaks has revealed danger for at least five characters next week as the show's exploitation story is set to come to a dramatic conclusion.

DI Banks' dodgy gang has been harming teens Frankie Osborne and Dillon Ray, while Vicky Grant and Robbie Roscoe have been held captive in the basement of a house for months.

Grace Black recently bundled Frankie and Dillon into a car and took them away, and drugged Frankie was reunited with Vicky in the basement – while Dillon's whereabouts remain unknown.

Next week, Darren and Nancy Osborne realise that Frankie is in danger, so the pair attempt to get some information out of Rex Gallagher.

They discover the location they need via text, but they end up trusting the wrong police officer – and their mistake sets in motion a call to clear out the illegal operation.

"DI Banks realises that he is rapidly running out of time," reveals our insider, "so he makes plans to destroy evidence, dispose of his workers, and escape sharpish with his elusive wife and Victoria. But what he doesn't realise is that suspicious Diane decides to follow him to the manor house…"

Darren heads to the house himself, and with the help of new ally Kat Omari, he is led upstairs to a hidden room and is reunited with his daughter. He realises what Frankie has been through and vows to get her out – but this proves very difficult.

On the outside, Donny Clark, Rex and Dodger Savage decide to team up and attempt to formulate a plan to rescue the hostages.

Meanwhile, in the house, Vicky, Robbie and Dillon are desperately trying to escape the basement. As they struggle through their injuries to fight for freedom, the trio bump into Darren and Frankie.

"The two groups find one another in the house," our source says, "and there are some emotional reunions, including between Darren and his half-brother Robbie. But danger is just around the corner, as DI Banks' terrifying associates soon turn up."

A tense fight breaks out, with Darren and Robbie taking the lead to attack the gang members. What unfolds after this is yet to be revealed, but Darren's fate is left up in the air.
